i think its too premature to ask but is there any chance for those who were rejected outright this time... i mean is there any scope SIBM calls some guys personally after wait lists are exhausted like last years

The result link might not be updated anymore. We know for sure that the wait-list has moved by 6, because people upto wait-list 5 (two people on W/L -5) have received an admission mail today morning, following which ajit10 called the admin to confirm the movement. So for all purposes, consider your W/L number to be 42 now. 😃

If the current wait-list gets exhausted, then yes, the people who got a rejection letter initially WILL be sent acceptance e-mails. There is never anything wrong in being optimistic, but to be honest that scenario seems like a long shot to me. I am W/L 2 currently, and praying real hard for a convert. Despite several assurances, the anxiety doesn't go away, because the movement has been unorthodox this time and hardly reflects the previous year's movement. Plus, the wait-list itself is extensive this time... At least 42 more entries there.
