Ok the deal here is... once everyone has converted... the admin actually randomly allocates room and room mates to every 1st year student.
So basically you have already been allocated both of the above.. so no point in fretting over it... you just go on campus and check in to the same..
From 2nd year, you will be given an option of selecting roommates and even the particular room where you want to reside.
Cheers!!

Hi Puys,
Just wish to share something here.
I have converted SIBM Pune a couple of days back, this should have been the happiest thing that happened to me since I have no other good convert other than this, though I have got FMS-BHU and SIBM was a dream come true, lovely campus, great seniors, great rankings, great placements. But due to certain circumstances that are beyond my control, & due to financial troubles on the domestic front, I will not be able to take admission there, since now I am not in a position to afford such a sky high fees.
Now hoping like mad that I get selected in Canara Bank since have already been rejected by Union & discarded by all other banks, though I have Dena & IOB lined up, I don't feel upto the task since am feeling real depressed now & can't prepare well, & don't know what will happen in Interview. Gave my best shot in Canara & I feel that now all my energy, enthusiasm & life has been drained out of me.
Applied for loan but did not receive a favourable response, My only hope now is to become a Banker, earn & work hard, save money & then crack CAT & other MBA exams again, maybe luck would turn out better next time. I wish in the future also I convert SIBM since it is the best place I have ever been to.

Hey, really sorry to hear that..
I know and completely understand that you are going through a tough time. And as easy as it may be to lose hope and throw down ur arms, fight you have to and you have to fight hard.
I have gone through a pretty tough time myself, and I know exactly as to how you feel. Although, at the moment, it may be quite dark around, believe in light! Believe in the Sun! The tunnel's gotta end! Just believe..
And you obviously will get selected for Canara, or for that matter, any bank you want to get into, you have the class. You proved that by getting into SiBM, the best of the best. If the other banks didn't take you, it's, as it is, their loss. And, in a way, it's good that you didn't get in there, they were not your level and it would have been claustrophobic for you I guess.
So, just believe! It will make the world a better place. Depression is a state of mind, and the mind can be easily controlled. Control it and fight! FIGHT HARD!

Hi bro,
I have been following ur posts for sometime now, and i was really happy for u wen u finally made it to SIBM, but reading ur above post has no doubt made me sad...
But plz don not lose hope or ur confidence. U cracked an SIBM interview, surely a bank cant be tougher than that! U need to remember that the situation u are in tdy isnt bcs of lack of ability, its just an unfortunate circumstance. Ur abilities do not get diluted by this, so carry this confidence into ur bank interviews and I am sure u will crack it:)
Take inspiration from ppl who have been in worse conditions than u are and have gotten past it. U cracked multiple interviews this year. Surely next year, wid all the exp gained, u can do even better! Who knows what good awaits u:) Dont fret over what cant be helped, think about what can be done now.
Wateva u do, plz dont lose ur confidence. U have that, nothing can stop u:)
ATB:)

Teach for India comes with a fellowship programme....
ANYONE can apply for it... it is of 2 years.. and you get a teaching job at a school in your city or in Pune...
It comes with a stipend of 18k per month and they will help place you in a proper MNC or big organisation once your stint is over and you dont want to continue (As they have good relations with most corporate houses)
Cheers!!!

Well very frankly if u have no other calls then SIBM is a gud choice, a rly gud one infact.
However U say that u hv been waitlisted for ISB, which is one of the best/probably the best in our country fr ppl wid work ex. And even if u dont make it this year, nxt yr wid 4 yrs work ex ur chncs are gonna be higher.
So my advice if u are in no hurry, then wait another yr, if not SIBM is a gr8 choice.
Could someone please tell me the avg work ex at sibm pune?? and what is the batch profile in terms of the work ex.

@Shouryasen
Could you give me an idea :
1. As to how many students are with 3 years or more work ex.
2. And do the higher work ex students face any issues during placements ?
