Hi seniors,
When can we expect the registration for SNAP to start?
Dates are not known as yet.
please keep checking the website.
SAPTARSHI1985 Saysplease tell me the venue of gd-pi process of various snap institute.thanks in advance.
Venue for GD PI till this years admission was at the college itself.
For example for SIBM pune the GDs were conducted at SIBM pune campus.
hello friends...
i have two queries regarding SNAP.
1. Does SNAP test have sectional cut offs?
2. Is there elimination after group interaction round in the GD/PI process?
hello friends...
i have two queries regarding SNAP.
1. Does SNAP test have sectional cut offs?

1. SNAP is a test only....
cut-offs are individual priorities of each institute
SIBM-P used to have sectional cut-offs till 2009
2010 did not have any sectional cut-off
it is too premature to comment on 2011 version...
the Aspirant Relations Team will come out with the communication regarding SIBM-P rules and regulations for admissions soon enough..
till then... HOLD ON :D
2. GE/PI rounds are non-eliminational...
once you come on campus for these rounds, you will be able to appear for all of them...
A Consolidated score of all the rounds involved (from SNAP - PI) will be taken into consideration for final admission
All the best!!
cheers!!
thanks a lot.......

SNAP has same syllabus as CAT and other entrance exams. The only change is in level of difficulty. Past year papers have been pretty easy as compared to CAT and the trend is 'likely' to be followed.
For SNAP you need to know the basic concepts, be thorough with the formulas and keep reading the papers regularly. No need for separate GK books etc if you are following the papers.
SNAP is most likely to be conducted on 18th Dec ( will be confirmed once notice is out) so you have plenty of time to prepare if you haven't started so far.
All the best.

i can understand your anticipation but this is not the right mindset to take to an exam hall...
you never know what kind of paper you are going to get...
if its easier than last year then your scoring chances should reflect...
if its more difficult.. then less scores will be reflected...
But whatever be its nature, be sure to see which section has what kind of marking...
successfully attempt those which have more marks even if it means more time is "wasted"
On another note, what you mentioned about each section wise scoring...
dont forget that last year (SIBM P batch 2011-2013) people didnt have any sectional cut-offs.... only an overall one...
so it doesnt really matter how you score as long as you get the reqd. marks..
In our case (batch 2010-2012), we had sectional cut-offs so we needed to be more conscious of what n how we attempted...
All in all... hopefully this year's format will be one to your liking n prolly play to your strengths..
all the best!!
cheers!!!
Hi, am glad this thread's started 😁
Am basically preparing for SNAP 2011, and am currently in the last stage of my Chartered Accountancy qualification, I have my final exams in November.
I've been hearing a lot about the fact that it's difficult to place qualified chartered accountant during placements from B-Schools ? Can you please throw some light on if there are any chartered accountants in the current batch and the kind of jobs they were offered ?
Thanks for the help!

The venues vary according to each institute. Some institutes have it in their respective campus while others might choose a more convinient location. SIBM Pune conducts their PI and GE process on campus.

Hi Dhruv.. We have a few Chartered Accountants in our batch. As far as I have seen and known, your background will not play a huge role in your placements and job profile. It depends more on what specialization you opt for, which college and how you are with respect to your peers in the batch. I can assure you that the Chartered Accountants in our batch have had no such issues.
I have 2 year drop outs...one after 12th and other after grad..will it affect my selection..??
What is difficulty level of SNAP DI n LR qs.??
Are more of verbal usage qs asked like synonyms,etc..in verbal section??
