Sir, As I was going through bits/mba placement site, I saw names like BHEL,NTPC in the list of recuiters. Kindly guide me whether these companies come each year or not, As its bits so i dnt doubt that these companies will be coming or not, but my interest is on how regular basis does these company visit and what are there criteria....

I will not be attending GD PI process of BITS Pilani because of the following reasons -
1. You are trying to over-sell yourself. Please admit your limitations.
2. You are not providing the cut-off and other details transparently in public.
3. You have no official statement on visiting companies or placements stats exclusively for MBA program.
I hope you take this as a feedback and work towards creating a better environment in future.
I am sorry to the aspirant who could have got the call but for me. I am willing to give in written if the concerned authority contact me about it, if they wish to accommodate another aspirant in place of me. I will expect a refund of my application fee and other expenditure in return.

didnt xpect any call frm ds disastrous score. bits came like a thunder in the pitch dark :)
it was until 4th march that i received the mail from bits(reminding me that last date is 6th march) for giving preference for GDpi dates. i gave banglore and goa as 1st n 2nd preference cos am living in kerala now. as i saw that this preference giving process has started from 18th feb or so. so do i have a chance of getting my desired preference or i wl b alloted pilani becos i filled up at last?!!!
@vibhanshusingh the thng is bits pilani gdpi wl b starting towards march end. and b4 that other colleges gdpi also goin on....so they wll be attacking here probably after 11 march notification and again 1 week b4 commencement of gdpi :D
still no list out for the final GD/PI center allocated ?. Is there a change in schedule ?
@aybidsibun its mentioned in the site that the final list of allocation of center will be published on 14th March 2012. :)

Regarding the issue raised by @DonZ, The placement Scenario has been completely told by us. All the companies that visited and offered roles are only mentioned. You can very well check the credentials by searching in Linkedin, Where the alumni are located. Am sure you would then accept the facts put forth here. @Arindam4 2011-13 Batch placement season is not over yet. 80% of the batch is placed till date. Regarding the 2010-12 batch 100% of them are placed. You can ask this information to any BITS students in the campus or our batch, they would reply the same. Course fee structure and hostel fee are mentioned in the previous comments and they are displayed in the website. Anyway it is 70000 per semester, 5000 for hostel rent.
@sgc GD topics would both General and current affairs based. Prepare well, talk precisely, and let others speak. I am sure you will have a good time in GD.
