I can understand not knowing the exact placement details is a confusing process. We too faced the situation last year. Don't worry, Even the person with the lowest CGPA gets placed here somehow. This BITS, not just another institute you are talking about.
Regarding the comparison with Other B schools, pagalguy doesn't permit them. Please don't compare BITS MBA program with any other program. It is UNIQUE in its own way.

@prashanthrpkSince, BITS considers profile for admission in its course, I think it is important to mention my previous employment details. If I am mentioning UNEMPLOYED presently, then there is no column where I can fill the name of my previous company. Also, the details stated after putting UNEMPLOYED, rest of the previous employment details bear NO SIGNIFICANCE. Also, I cannot provide the name of previous organisation.

@smishrajec - you can say no and fill in the form. During the PI/GD you can show your previous year work ex.
Regarding the calls [Important Update]-
As the calls depends on the number of applications, It cannot be profile based or cutoff based. Only after CAT results are out, how the calls will be given can be commented upon.
I know it's very difficult, but if you had given your CAT 2012 exam well and confident of a good CAT score, you can apply for BITS.
Also Work ex, 10th, 12th, Grad percentages will have weightage during final admission process (During GD/PI after calls), as merit list would be prepared based on that.

@iimhereicome - It's difficult for us to tell what companies came for each specilisation. But most of them came for marketing and finance spl. For EG: JPMC took ppl with both marketing/ finance spl. there where few other companies who came for ops (Engg tech and mgmt) and Ites.

hello @lyfiscrazy - Fee structure for next session (2013-2015) will be put up soon. This is the fee structure for our batch (2012-2014).
Total Fees payable for 2 years including Mess+Hostel+Tuition Fee+ Additional fees = 4.0 Lakhs (Approx)
Also you are eligible to avail Teaching Assistantship during your study here. You would get a stipend of 8000 INR per month/ 40% tuition fee waiver/ or even both of them together.
This means you could earn upto- 40,000 INR Per Semester (1.2 Lakhs total during your study here !! ).

@a2k all these play a Important role while converting the call. Regarding SOP- mention why you wish to do a MBA, Why have you BITS Pilani and how you wish to benefit from the program and what are your goals after your MBA degree.
