CMAT: 230 😟 [i know, 50% weightage is given to CMAT/XAT marks at GIM].
Profile: 1yr experience in healthcare sales.
First thing's first, GIM campus is "Awe- wait for it- Some", Awesome! 👍 , but reaching there is quite the opposite for 1st timers! Accommodation was allowed inside the campus, superb hostel rooms, good facilities. At night, i could see a stars-laden sky, unlike the polluted ones we see in Mumbai.
The session started at 8.30am and lasted till 11am (including the last PI candidate).
GD:
My batch had 14 students, but 6 of them were absent (might have rescheduled), so it was just us 8.
30 - 40 secs for intro and equal time for conclusion in ascending & descending order, respectively. May be, as we were just 8 people in that batch, the inbetween discussing time was only 7-8 mins, for my friend's batch of 12, it was 11 mins.
Started decently, eventually turned into a fish-market, i made 2 points in between & sat quiet listening to others as we also have to write a summary in the end.
Topic: "Will opening more number of IITs & IIMs dilute the quality of education currently available over there?"
PI:
2 profs, same who conducted the GD.
May be it was my bad-luck & kind of good luck, as one professor had a biology background (may be one from the HCM course), he asked me 5 questions of 11th STD biology, wrongly answered 1, rest 4 were correct.

I left for Calangute beach with a friend with whom I shared my hostel room at GIM. There, more than the Heineken, I was excited to see its highly reduced cost of just Rs. 60 a pint, in Mumbai you get no good beer for less than 100 bucks. Enjoyed one 🍻 with some fish fingers on the laid back chair, beach view, did some firangi bird-watching 😍, left for my Mumbai bound train at 6.55pm from Thivim.
16 April 2013 GD topic "Is Management Education Stifling Our Creative and Inventive Side". GD was average.CMAT Score is 182. Goan Domicile.In PI there were two professors one of whom asked me the following question:

prof1:You have 4 years of IT experience why don't you go for 1 year MBA program instead of 2 year program.Told me to think a lot before arriving at any decision before joining if I clear.
prof2 just checked my certificates and asked me about my poor aggregate in Graduation.
