You have to pay through a DD :)

so no other payment mode option 😞

@iamnishant Should I apply to MFC?

class 10-- 83.5%
class 12-- 85.0%
Maths --88

Supposing I score 90%ile in CAT 2012, do you think I would be able to make into the 2nd round?
@shubsamania

DD is the only option for the payment.

Ok frankly, I dont have much idea about either of the two courses MBE and MFC. I have gone through the Prospectus and I'm just curious and have some questions. I would be really thankful if someone from MFC/ MBE could answer them..

1) Do we fit into the MBA profile (for openings in major companies) after graduating from either of the two?
2) Do PSUs and other Govt. Undertakings consider MBE/MFC eligible for jobs?
3) What is the % strength of freshers in the present batch?
4) Are the placement stats given in the prospectus common for both MFC/MBE?

My profile is as under:
Xth : 89.66%
XIIth: 81.60% with Mathematics: 81
B.E.: 69.13%
Expected CAT Score: 92+

I intend to do an MBA in Finance. MBE/MFC seem like a good alternate to that. Do i have a shot at any of the two?

My Profile:

X:80.12%
XII: 93.1%( 99% in maths)
B.Tech: 70.66%
6+ years of IT experience including 2.5 years of experience in Corporate Treasury team at Bank of America.
Decent EC
Completed couple of NISM certifications and also done capital market & risk mgmt certificates at Bank of America in collaboration with Stratadigm and D&B.;
Giving CFA level 1 this dec.

What are the changes for me to get a call for GD/PI and what CAT %ile is needed?

Regards,
Manoj

1) MFC is the Master degree courses which focuses on Finance as specialization and comes under the purview of Delhi University. It is not the like the general MBA programme offered by most of the institutes in India.However, after graduating from MFC, you have chances of getting into Finance profile of any company. Infact, if you have gone through the curriculum of MFC, you will find that right from the 1st semester, you will be studying the Finance domain subjects while in MBA programme you will have to choose your specialization after 1st year.

2) Yes, PSU and other govt. undertakings consider MFC equivalent to any other Master/MBA programmes but your options will be limited to finance domain profiles only.

3) Current junior batch has 25 freshers out of 42 students.

4) Placements stats are given separately for MFC and MBE on pages 7 and 15 respectively of the Prospectus.

Since GD/PI cutoffs are relative and will be decided later on on the basis of Index scores of applications received as well as Call ratio so I cannot comment as of now on your chances of getting a call. Go through the main post and previous post for more insights into MFC.

PM if you have any specific query.

For MBE, please direct your queries to the MBE thread. People there will be able to address your queries more effectively.

@iamnishant I belong to general category :(
