For SIIB there is no waitlist no. given & SIBM-B -136 in First WL.....Took a bit of a gamble I suppose. But 35k non-refundable was too much for me in SCIT. As for SIBM-B , the seniors in SIBM-B are saying that waitlist moves till 3rd list, and I am in the 1st. So if nothing unusual happens, I hope will get thru. Also hoping for a call in GIM.
What about u?? Joining SCIT or looking for greener pastures like me?

@who2k1991 Hi migration certificate is issued by the university from where you did your graduation.Migration certificate states that your graduation university has no objection if you join any other univ. for further education. You can collect this certificate from your college or from University office. If you check previous pages of this thread, you'll get more info on migration certificate.
Hope this helps you,ATB :)

@NeilR said:this pre-induction program performance will count during our clg tym ????
Hi Sunil,
The pre-induction program performance won't be counted as an evaluation parameter for the course. It is to bridge the gap between candidates knowledge and to bring everyone on the same platform.

@dev121989 said:Hello Puys, this is my first ever post on this thread as well as on PG.Now as i confirmed that this year i am finally going to join one of the best IT - B schools in India i.e. SCIT, so i would like to take this moment as a great proud for me to be the part of this premier institute. But i have some doubts which i think can be addressed at best only here, so respected seniors and fellow SCITians ,i expect from u guys to answer my queries.so here it goes.........1)my profile 10th-76%,12th-79%,btech(IT)-77%,IT exp.-21 months....with this pofile and good performance over the next 2 years can i target the best companies with best job profile at the time of placement or somewhere it can be problem that people with 2-4 years of exp only will be given preference over others.2)As far as my work-ex is concerned, i am working on CRM domain of banking product that mainly deals with banking functionality.....so considering that which elective would be most suited to me.I am confused b/w systems and SSM.3)As i want to take the role of business analyst so which option will fetch this profile.4)what all certifications we can do during these 2 years .Does college provide any assistance for certifications or we have to take care of it by ourselves?5)For which domain most of the companies come for placement ,do they put any criteria like (systems,ISS,SSM etc.)based on job profile which they are offering or there is no such criteria, anyone can sit for any profile.6)During the time of selecting electives ,we have to select 2 electives in a semester ,so can we choose these 2 electives from 2 different courses or it should be from same course.and whatever domain we select in 1st sem ,do we have to stick with that domain for the next 3 semesters also...Hope nobody will mind such a big post (still sorry for the same)but as this is my first and also hoping to be the last provided that i will get my answers ,then no need to ask any further quesn.Awaiting quick response from seniors and future SCITians.....thanks...Devanswer plz.............
Hi Kumar,
Congrats on being SCITian
1) Your profile seems to be good enough. Constraints on the work experience depends on the requirements of the company visiting the campus. Nothing can be generalized that a particular company always recruit students having X number of experience. Infact some of the best companies do hire freshers too.
2) & 3) There will be a formal orientation on each specialization during the induction conducted by the faculty, alumni and industry experts. You will be able to clarify your doubts regarding this query that time.
4) You will get to know about various certification by collaborative talks with the faculty here after you join the college. SCIT is a Registered Education Provider of PMI India. Also there are many certification training and exams conducted at SCIT, some of them include ITIL, CAPM, IT strategy etc.
5) Some companies do have criteria regarding the domain. However not all follow the same and also that this criteria is dynamic. It all depends on the project requirement of the company and the market trend. Current trend is for Security and systems.
6) The course structure is flexible enough to allow you to choose electives from different specialization. As mentioned earlier this would be explained more clearly during the induction.
Hope this clears your doubts!
