as per the admission guideline ....it is mentioned on website..
Short listing criterion for Group Exercise and Personal Interaction is based only on SNAP Score.
The final selection to SCIT will be based on the overall performance and the weight age given would be as follows: 50% weight for SNAP Score 25% weight for Group Exercise 25% weight for Personal Interaction
but as i saw the profile of batch....there are hardly students from non cs /it engg...even those are, who have decent work ex.....why it so even there is no marking for work ex and as such special branch...brother i am from electronics and instrumentation and as i asked u my snap percentile is 79......but it looks difficult to convert or its just my anxiety??
Hi, I need to change my present address in the form but I am not able to change it by login to the portal.I request you to kindly let me know what should I do to change the address.

Hi, The criteria for GE-PI shortlisting is only SNAP PERCENTILE.
The criteria for merit list i.e. final selection to SCIT will be based on the overall performance and the weightage given would be as follows: SNAP Score of 180 marks scaled down to 40 marks
SCIT attributes: 20 marks Group Exercise(GE): 20 marks Personal Interaction(PI): 20 marks
which totals out to 100 marks. Sorry for the website not being updated. We will update it soon.
So work-ex is accounted in SCIT attributes. But do not have any pre-conceived notions that aspirants with IT experience are admitted in SCIT. We do have students from marketing and finance background. Hope this clears your doubts.
@ashok.hbp: Hi Ashok, nothing can be predicted as of now due to the shift to percentile system. We understand your anxiety but pls wait till 21st Jan, when the shortlist will be out. All the best 😃
I scored 80.53 percentile in snap.My acads are as follow-
10th-87%
12th-82.4%
b.tech-70.2%
work ex-18 months till now.
I am working with DELL services and as of now doing well(pay package 3.5).So I am pretty confused if I shall opt for MBA from SCIT.Will it boost my career?Seniors please help as you might be knowing better about the placements.
Also I just lost my final year marksheets(house shifting) :(.Though as of now I have provisional marksheet where my percentage is stated. Will it help till the time of interview?I hope to obtain my marksheets as soon as possible but they are saying it will take another 2 months?

If ur GE/PI conversion is cool, Being an engineer no 1 is going to stop u from converting... So concentrate in GE as much as posibl..!!
@112abha Hi, You have a decent profile.Whether to do an MBA depends on what you are looking for.MBA in ITBM will allow you to get profiles like Business analyst,Consultant,Functional Analyst etc which are more Business oriented. So as such you cannot compare your job profile before and after MBA.MBA definitely adds value. As far as your marksheet issue is concerned, you can inform this beforehand to the college after the GE PI list is out.It shouldnt be a problem if you have other documents to support your scores. Hope this answers your query..!!
i am a IT guy with 2.5 yrs of experience got 83 percentile in snap and applied to SCIT.
like on college website its mentioned that package for work ex people is 7.5lacs ... is it true?? can u give details of companies that provide maximum package?
