To all friends over here... i know i'm not that so elder to make such big talks and discussions but still wanna say something.Is it that so important to judge every institute on the basis of its placement ?
Placement are by the students .. if they deserve .. surely they'll get that.
Yaa.. ! I know acads play a key role in all that, but i think 60% is wot one have the right to ask for.. you yourself judge will you allow a doctor to operate yourself even though he has operated 100 cases past successfully but is not having a degree of MBBS ?
Obviously not and the same is the case for the companies.
Plus the fact above i want to say if you have got the skills then hell with acads .. nothing can stop you .. finding your way. The only thing one should remember is to harvest every opportunity but not at sake of harming someone similar to being selfish..
About myself, just a fresher too young to go for MBA, age is just 21 but still have an keen desire to learn security management, a lil bit experienced about business markets in India's best financial market mumbai. Not that so good in acads or could be said i never care acads. Graduated under ECE but do have hardcore interest in computers.
Further skills and interest are programming, designing, and backtracking and all that stuffs related to computers. So, that's why i applied only for SCIT.. i think myself just interest oriented person and not that market one,,
Further can someone tell me what technical they were asked in subjective ?
Bcoz my subjective went for around 30 minutes and there was a panel of three persons ..
but they asked me nothing over technical... all the time they were just taking my psychological test over different aspects ? Also, the HR person... oh just horrible .. he was having just a diff. perception for everything which i stated as my hobby or interest.
As a case of this le'me share he said reading is said to be done only when you take a book in your hand and do read novels ,,,fiction,,, etc. According to him.. reading articles on net or tech stuffs, can't be called as reading.
Also he asked me to draw something as i had stated drawing and painting under my hobby,
so that time he was the only one sitting infront of me... and thus i portrayed him only ...in 7-8 seconds and he was quite impressed with that.. but still HR was not good....
I know with 90% chance that i won't be getting a call but still let the destiny take over this...

on my side they just asked ... u do hav such a good interest n technical then why not mtech but MBA.... n i was just collapsed so just replied .. just want to manage things.. instead of doing it..

I,m in final year of engg. in computer science(from West Bengal University of Technology)....
having 10th - 85 % (2006)
12th - 67 % (2006-2009)
engg. - 72 %(till now) (2009-14)
i will give CAT this yr ... but i have a gap yr in both 12th nd graduation .
so does this condition affect my chances of getting admisson..does this institute have any kind of rule for the gap year students..??
and does this will affect my chances at the placements...if i get the admisson..???

yes experience plays a role..but your performance here in the 2 years is more important...If you have an IT profile it will help you definitely..but a person not having it is not at a disadvantage..we have people from varied backgrounds like mechanical,Electronics ets here who are doing well..

yes experience plays a role..but your performance here in the 2 years is more important...If you have an IT profile it will help you definitely..but a person not having it is not at a disadvantage..we have people from varied backgrounds like mechanical,Electronics ets here who are doing well..

Hi can you make a guess as to when the first waiting list will be out after the merit list? Or does it depend on the number of students from the merit list taking/not taking admission immediately after the merit list is out on the 28th?
@srikanthm1987 In the waiting list do the work ex people have more chance of getting selected than the freshers
