A brief introduction about the revered family we are part of...
The Symbiosis Institute of International Business (SIIB), formerly known as the Symbiosis Institute of Foreign Trade (SIFT) and an integral part of the Symbiosis International University (SIU), was established in 1992 to provide budding managers with the foresight to tackle the sweeping changes of the liberalized Indian economy. The dictum of the institution has always been to 'Equip for Change' which it has successfully done for the last 20 years.
In an increasingly globalised network, SIIB has emerged as a B-school that is ahead of the curve with pioneering work in MBA programs like
MBA - International Business (MBA-IB)
MBA - Agri Business (MBA-AB)

Yes , you can apply but make sure all the documents are in place by the time you join SIIB . The 2013-15 session starts in June.

I am interested in persuing MBA IB/E&E; from SIIB, i have few queries please answer: -
1. what is this financial market practise thing mentioned in SNAP brochue, is it a new course started by SIIB, Please shed some light on this?
2. i have seen in SIIB student profile that engineers and experienced candidates are very very less in number in comparision to previous years. Why so?
3. how is the AB course for a BTech graduate? what are the future prospects, is it limited to agriculture related companies only?
4. what was last years cut off?

I assume you have received your SNAP ID , use it to login to the snap portal http://oamssnap.blueshiftindia.com/snap/website/ , go to the last page where you will find the payment options for various colleges . Select the colleges you want to apply to .

Alternatively , you can also use this link which will direct you to the websites of various institutes http://www.snaptest.org/Institute.aspx . Choose the online registration link and proceed accordingly .

For SIIB :-

Payments can also be made in cash , by DD or at Axis Bank. Check here for more details:-

The last date for online registration at SIIB is 15th December.

Let me know in case you have any other queries.

1.

I will get back to you regarding this query
2.
i

I would like to bring to your notice candidates at SIIB are selected purely on the basis on merit.They go through a rigorous selection process - SNAP , group task , GD , Essay and PI . The experienced candidates get minor advantage owing to work-ex.
I am not aware of the source of your data which contradicts the real figures. If you take IB as a case in point , and refer to the student profile in SIIB website , proportion of both engineers & work-ex people have increased marginally from batch of 13' to 14'. Work-Ex/Engg are both upwards of 50% for IB.Again it is owing to performance & merit.
3.
how
is the AB course for a BTech graduate?
what
are the future prospects, is it limited to agriculture related companies only?
SIIB has one of the best ABM programs in the country and the differentiatior is the international perspective one gets here. People from any background can apply for the course. Only thing is that you need to have a passion for the sector. People are from diverse backgrounds like engineering , economics , pharmacy , agriculture and so on
Prospects span across various sectors like agriculture consultancy , warehousing , retail , agro-products , fertilizer & pesticides industry, financial services , banks , insurance , research and analysis and the list is endless. With the government opening up retail , these sectors are expected to see a robust growth.
Refer to the link to get an idea about ABM at SIIB
4.
what
was last years cut off?
Cutoffs vary every year. It depends on the number of applicants , the difficulty level of the paper & their relative performance in SNAP. So , do not prepare keeping cutoffs in mind , always give your best . As you are curious , cutoff for IB was 80 (GEN).

Let us know in case of any queries.
I am a M.Pharm from BIT, Mesra and working in Cipla from July 2012 as a trainee management staff in loan licence dept. I use to handle entire business of Cipla in a contract manufacturing location starting from inventory management , to production and quality aspects till dispatch. I'm writing SNAP this yr and is interested for IB in SIIB.
My acads are:
10th: 81.37%
12th: 86.5%
B.Pharm: 84.6%
M.Pharm: 86.5%
Do you think if I score well around 100-110, I stand a chance for getting through SIIB-IB?
Is having a masters degree going to create any problem during selection?
Is the short work ex of 6mths (in dec 2012) going to become a matter of discredit?
Please answer my queries...

Dear , Your academics and profile looks very strong. The master's degree & work-ex will you give you an edge provided you do well in SNAP and clear the cut-offs .

All the best !
@Santanu.Das :thanks fr the help.....i want 2 pay my registration fee by DD...where should i address it??(in the place of "in favour of" & "payable at" wat should i write??)...

@aarn4027
@aarn4027
@Santanu.Das I want to know about the payment options for registration at SIIB. Can I pay using SBI internet banking and ICICI bank Visa Debit card??
DD: By sending a crossed Demand Draft for Rs.1000 / - drawn in favor of "Director, Symbiosis Institute of International Business" payable at Pune. Please mention your NAME and SNAP ID behind the DD or when paying cash at SIIB / AXIS Bank.

Online Payment:
Candidates can pay registration fees online through SIIB website, www.siib.ac.in

Hey.. I just came to know about the 'Crack it with SIIB' to be held on 18th Nov,2012.. Please give some details about the location n the venue for the same....

@richav3 That is correct . We conduct our annual PR meet - " Crack it with SIIB " across different cities in India . Aspirants will be informed regarding the same through email as well as sms. Also keeping watching this space . Thanks !
@Santanu.Das I noticed at the site of SIIB that engineering grads and ICWA /CA holders, as well as economic grads are given preference in MBA -IB and also the portal for online registration is showing eligibility for MBA -AB is bachelors in Agriscience or work ex in Agri Cos. As a M.pharm am I eligible for applying in both of the programs? What will be the registration fees if I want to apply in all the three programs? Please clear these doubts..
@Enduser As mentioned in the eligibility criteria if you have any experience in Agri Cos. then you can surely apply for MBA-AB else you can apply for MBA-IB and MBA-E&E.; You will have to register for both the courses separately and pay the respective fees.For registering yourself you can visit the site www.siib.ac.in .

Hello Seniors, what's the average package like ? also if u can throw some light on the companies visiting campus this year ....

My Background ::

Xth - 83.2%
XIIth - 80%

BBE (Business Economics) - 72%
And 27 months of work ex.

Also what's the break up of the current batch up w.r.t.the Experience factor and avg.work ex..
Sorry if dat means a lot of questions ..

@Aprv All the Placement Related details are available on our website www.siib.ac.in. You can easily find the average packages and list of companies for MBA in International Business/Agri Business/Energy and Environment.

You seem to have a good profile which should help you in the GE/PI process if you get shortlisted. The current batch almost equally diveded between freshers and people with work-ex.

@ankit.3.jain Thanks 😃
