1.The test is a notch below CAT level though it is quite calculation intensive....Verbal, DI, Quant and GK....more information can be had by going thru last years papers......

3.Kindly let us knw which course u r targetting...If HR then intake is 60...Campus at Hyderabad and Guwahati....Both of them dnt offer HRM...
4.Grades dnt matter...ur attitude and skills does...
@gdm4u87 hi Gaurav..i am a dentist but working in the management field..even i want to apply for HR & HO..HR is my interest & HO relates to my field..reading through this thread i realized that there are people either with work ex in HR or a degree in it while i have none which makes me feel that my chances are bleak to get in HR.I am really confused now as u said its better to go for anyone of HR AND HO.Is there anyone in your batch who applied for both and got HR?

The best thing about TISS is that your chances of getting in DO NOT depend on your past. It's an open invitation to come and prove that you are pursuing something out of interest and passion and would do justice to it. There are some freshers in our batch too. So, having or not having work-ex is not something that is decisive.
As I have stated earlier, there is no one who had applied for both and got through HR. And it's DIFFICULT, not impossible to justify why u r applying for both the programs. Think of some good answer before u decide.
Hi Seniors,I am planning to apply for the M.S.W program. I need some insight about the TISS paper II specific to this course. Also , have done my graduation in B.E with a work ex of 2 years in TCS. Is there anything specific that TISS looks for while shortlisting candidates?
Go thru the model paper attached one or two pages back. You will have a decent idea.
TISS does not look for anything specific. Your background does not come in the way, neither does it help u in any other way.
@gdm4u87 one more thing as we have two papers, for HR whats the second paper like. i know HO requires essay writing (correct me if i am wrong), is it there in HR too.

Yes. For HO, u need to write an essay in paper-2.
For HR, the paper-2 is on the lines of CAT/XAT/SNAP. It consists of QA, DI, VA, RC, GK and Management related questions. The sample paper (the actual paper of last year) will be out along with the notification. You will get more idea then.

@ank_mission_IIM Hopefully..... actually I have heard two contrasting statements..... "Sabra ka phal meetha hota hai".... and "Zyaada sabra karne se phal sad jaata hai". Don't know which one to believe. :D
@preetyangel : For any M.A. Course in TISS, you need to first write two exams. (December, both on a single day) The first one is general. The second one is program specific. I am attaching the Social Entrepreneurship Sample paper given by TISS website last year. After that if you are shortlisted...then GD/PI, etc. As far as my knowledge, you can apply for at max 3 programs.

The question paper of MA in Social Entrepreneurship consists of psychometric test related to entrepreneurship, few questions of analytic skills and GK related to NGOs and Govt. programs related to rural and human development.
hello....i am interested in applying for M.A in healthcare programme...n ive looked thu ur website....but kan u plzz share sum insight on it??.. n i heard the exam is gonna be online this time?
1) The faculty and the exam team are in the process of finalizing the details of the examination. Wait for a few days and you will get all the details related to the exam.
2) The sample paper would be uploaded along with the notification. It would have the paper-1 which is common for all programs and paper-2 for each of the programs.
3) Kindly go through this thread at least before u ask your questions. Questions like "Does TISS have its own exam?" do not suit on the 9th page of the thread.
