gd topic- relevance of gandhism in todays scenario.
we were given 2 min to think and 18 mins for GD. a grl started the gd before 2 min and was asked to stop. when they asked us to begin. i started the gd by defining gandhism and highlighting today's society problem corruption, violence etc. after that everybody chipped in and we had a decent gd .
PI- I was the 1st one to be interviewed.

p1-why you opted for hrm only?
answer-- as i did my grad in management i was specially inclined towards the hr sujects also im extrovert, like meeting new people and feels happy when i motivate people tp achieve anything. all these qualities coincide with the qualities needed to be a gud hr manager and hence HR.
p1- recently some event happened in manesar plant of maruti what was the reason behind it?

p1- what aspect of hr deals with these unfortunate events that took place in manesar?
answer- labour and industry relationship management.
p1- who is a knowledgeable employee?

p1-what is the role of labour relations manager?
answer- gave four points( p1 looked satisfied).

p2- do u think that religion and management can co exist?
answer- yes sir, religion is related to the internal belief of a person the rituals and spirituality. while management is the responsibilities and the duties of a person.
religion is something that a person choose to practice himself while management is something that he has to practice in order to survive even at the lowest level of life. we need management even to carry out our day to day activity.
so as religion and management dont have conflicting interest they can co exist.
p2- so according to you anyone can go and pray in the office?
answer- in india everyone is free to express himself so yes but then your practices shouldnt hinder the work of others and also shouldn't stop you from performing your office duties.
praying peacefully for 5 min in office is alright but you cant take a pundit to the office and perform a havan dere that wud be highly inappropriate.( everybody had a laugh about this pandit thing).
p2- what is ritualistic religion?

p3- do u think that management is just common sense?
answer- sir i think common sense is required to practice management but management is much more than common sense as it involves all the facets of a business that is HR, MARKETING, FINANCE etc.
p3- your mother is working or a housewife.
answer- house wife.
p3- is she one of the best manager you will ever come accross?
answer- yes sir she is definitely.
p3- but she never learnt management?
answer- sir she dont have and mba degree but she did learn management trade by practicing her work day in and day out. in fact she is an MA in economics and that help her to manage the finance of the house and she is pretty gus at it. so i think any knowledge gained help us in a way or the other common sense just comes in to channelise that knowledge to be used fruitfully.

Oh even I was faced by the same que and replied that it is run by jesuit since I forgot the name of the director. Now as u pointed out I remember he was sitting in the middle and asked that question twice.

well evry boy here in kolkata were in formal but not all girls
the process was smooth.. all u need to carry is ur original certificates, xat score card and its photocopy..remember ur xiss id too and a photograph.. we were assigned in a group of 12 at beginning and in d end there were 4 to 5 left out which were another and last group.. all total 64 to 70 atttended today at kolkatta..
for GD
there were 3 panelist two at front end and another at back watching our body language i suppose and it was not a semicircle or circular gd it was just a straight gd which was more looking into our listening skills and body language
the topic was " should capital punishment be baneed in india"
2 mins to think and 20 mins to discuss
PI was only 5 mins with basic question
1- describe yourself
2- why mba
3- why xiss
4- why hr
5- who take ur decisions
6- why mba ? why not mtech
dnt know i will be selected or not as it was just 5 mins

@KOUSHEYA yes everyone wore formals.. except 2-3 who showed up in jeans... it completely depends on you and your personal choice dat by following their rules/not following which chances you wanna increase...of getting selected or getting rejected!! Do whatever suits you.. hope you understood!!
