Yes. Though the weightage is less in comparison to other top rank B-schools.

CMAT and XAT candidates are evaluated separately. For CMAT also we convert it to %tile and than take a combined merit for final offering.

@punkman : She might be younger to many of our students but she is very efficient in her job. You would meet her in the placement cell if you come to XISS.

@admcell Can you plz tell me hw is the finance specialization of xiss?? in terms of academics,industry visits,summer interships and placements.And i am asking this because everybody is talking about HRM.I have interest in finance and so if i get the correct info i would be thankful to u..

@admcell please help me solve this qurey .... as in a total of 60000 students had appeared for sep cmat ...so top 6000 ranks would figure in the top 90 percentile ???? or some other process is followed ???

Yes. She was very kind and is a bengali.
As i was getting impatient because of some delay...she very kindly asked me to go and have some food instead of sitting. Very nice person . She should have been a HR.

@admcell how is xiss PGDM-IT in terms of placement faculty .....

if you will ask placement details of HRM you will get full details of average and maximum package but if you will ask fot other courses like RM and marketing you will get a good gyaan

but no detail about placements.

People are expecting the raw data or statistics they are mature enough to
take the desicion for other things.
i dont know why alumini feel shy fro sharing such details.

@admcell you see how much speculations was there in market !!!! I would like to inform you that institute's name,fame and repo is being compromised on false claims (i think) of admissions. The administration must do something to check this as it dents the reputation of college and demoralises the aspirants......

At the end of the day we are still waiting for the placement statistics of the other courses ie the average packages of Marketing, Finance, RM and IT till date ..... it would be very nice if some one can provide the same......

@banerjee1 it is mentioned at their site the avg,, packagaes of all courses but is it worth trusting

@19rahul91 actually yes the details has been provided for the previous year in the website however i wanted to know how are the placements going for the 2013 batch.........if you guys have any friends in the college then we would be able to know......but it seems that it is not possible till the official report comes out.........

@banerjee1 I think dats also dere if u visit d site it flashes placemnt of 4 student at m&m; n bpcl moreover join d xiss fb page d placement head of xiss mr bajaj keep posting d name of student getting placed so dats more authentic I reckon

XISS does not inflate its placements figures. That is the reason packages of other streams(except HR) are not that high. The reports reflect the truth.

aha....I was pretty surprised at only one person co-ordinating the whole process!! And then she actually went and handled everything by herself!! I guess the Director indeed has eye for the right talent!!! But yes, I was indeed in awe...
