@NitinS said:If I may add to the cauldron burning on this thread, regarding the placements/ROI/career prospects/general whatthefuckaboutery - this is coming from a 23 year-old with nearly 3 years of work ex who is excited to join the MBA Core course at NM even though he will probably have to sell both his and his father's kidney to cover the next two years.
Learn to think long-term.
It's as simple as that. Ever since the 5th, my mind has been running numbers over and over again always arriving at a different overall conclusion to whether joining is a good decision or not - considering loan payments, career growth and obligations to the family.
All of which is meaningless, utterly meaningless.
Give yourself credit for converting the call and use your best judgment. To me, the 16-18 L that it will take to get the MBA is a
'long-term'investment. I'm not talking 2 years, or 4 or 6. I'm talking about what you see yourself doing in 15, 20. The job you want to retire with - and wouldn't want to switch just because you see an attractive pay cheque. To any converts out there, who are still unsure - just take a step back from average packages and additional expenses, and look at the bigger picture here.
Thank you for reading. Hopefully I will see some of you in class come June 12th.
I am sitting by you on the first day..
Bless me Lord ;)
milte hain 13/06/2013 ko..

i graduated in 2011 but didn't obtain the migration certificate then. can there be a problem now? i have all documents in place.
@jamescarter Get in touch with the university. In our university, we had to fill an application and show proof of graduation and they'd mail the migration certificate to an address of your choice.

Assuming its for my waitlist. Thanks. Hope for the best.
@Abhaysood @manas222 : Need a proper clarification about the clearance letter that is asked of the appearing graduates. My brother has secured admission for FTMBA Core n doing his final year Btech currently. His college is willing to issue only a bonafide kind of certificate. I spoke to the admissions department and the lady said that there is no particular format. Will a declaration letter stating that the student is registered under 2009-13 batch do?
Puys any idea how much time it takes to complete all admission procedure .. i mean doc verification payment of fees.. etc... and any form that we have to fill after goin there.. Cos i have converted both FTMBA and HR .. i wud not be able to take admission personally so nee to know where we mention our preferance for FT MBA prog vs HR...
Anyone who has completed formalities pls reply..

That should do. Either way, he would have to submit a copy of his graduation certi after joining NM.

Around 2-3 hours max. If you arrive early, it will take lesser time.
@manas222 arriving early means what time, cud u elaborate? In the admission letter, it is mentioned that the process starts at 11 am... Thanks in advance!!
@rajesh2323 I had gone to college on Saturday to complete all the formalities.. I was done in 1.5 hrs.. But as the end date gets closer I guess the crowd will increase.. So get there by 11 so that u would be one of the first few to start the process and get done early :)

Kyaa haal hai 😛 😛 :).. were they chilled out regarding the documents.. I mean i dont have a few docs like DOB certi as of now and migration n all..
@Asadali ek dum chilled out 😃 take the docs which are mandatory as of now.. They are ok with not submitting docs like migration/transfer cert, medical cert, medical insurance, etc which can be submitted later.. I had taken my birth certificate along but they did not take it 😛 So I guess that's ok as well!
At the end of the process they will give u an acknowledgement which will mention all the docs u have already submitted and those that need to be submitted later..
To speed up the process take a sheet of ur semester-wise total marks, max marks and %age.. also final total, max total and final %age of 10th, 12th and grad.. will save u time while filling up the form.. Write you name, NMAT Id, and phone number at the back of the DD as well..
aur kuch?? 😛 :P
Good news for waitlisters of MBA Core, Mumbai. You have atleast one confirmed Waitlist movement. Joining IRMA 😃
process starts by 10, jitnijaldi jaoge utni jaldi aaoge. simple!!!!!!!!! personal experience...
