When the avg figure is a value : say 11 Lacs.
It means half the class has got less than that.
If there are figures, very high compared to the avg fig, chances are very bright someone who get very low too. To even out.
It depends what was the profile of this 4.5 L guy before joining the college and what kind of job he picked.
These days there are many idiots (I hope to be among them) who chose a dream profile over high CTC.
What should help you deciding on which college to pick is what the seniors are doing say 5 yrs after passing out.
The GM of my company was saying, NM grads touch 40 - 50L per annum within 10 yrs after passing out.
It looks very se*y to me :)
@stellarPG : if you can throw some light in detail for BM as well, in case you have done thorough research on that as well
@stellarPG said:@ShukrantBM's placement has been really not so good this year. If you got through CM, Would seriously suggest you to join the course. It is going to be magnet course in the corporate world eventually since people want experts who can understand market & help them react accordingly. Let me know what other calls you have. Otherwise, my suggestion would be close your eyes & join the course. Give your best & land a 10 lac paying job easily
Since you are saying BM placements have not been good this year, can you please quantifythat in numbers like number of unplaced, average CTCs etc.
Waiting for your response. Thanks.
@kartik_barca PUYs don't be too judgemental and critical wrt placement figures of one particular year for any course i.e CM/BM or specialisation i.e Finance/Marketing...
Placements depend heavily on the economic conditions.
Placements depend heavily on the economic conditions.
Coming to BM - the reality is this year PSU banks have freezed their hiring due some stay order given by courts. This has had its effect on placements across the FINANCE specialisation (including CM,BM,CORE) but more so for BM. The decision is still pending in SC. Unfortunately this years batch has had to face this eventuality.
I know i am late in posting this question but someone please answer this..
I found this in the eligibility criteria..The candidate must have completed graduation in the stipulated duration as per the respective University/Institution awarding the degree
I never had any backlogs through out my btech until 4-2. I unfortunately had a backlog in 4-2. Wrote the supplementary in july and cleared the sub. All the certificates mention that i have graduated by july,2012. Does this mean i have not completed my graduation within the stipulated time as the others who have cleared all the subjects in 4-2 have may,2012 as their date of completion of graduation?

@nikki_1 Did u get an admit? If YES i guess no cause of worry coz had ur case been violating the criteria they wud not have given the admit in the first place (they ask for documents prior to GD/PI).
To be very sure(since diff grad univ follow diff rules), check with the admission ppl when u go there. They are very helpful and answer all the querries patiently.

@blue4u I even paid the fees.. There were two rounds of verification. The first round was fine. The lady who verified in the second round came up with this. She allowed me to pay the fees but asked me to get this confirmed..
@nikki_1 You should have asked her get confirmed from whom 😃 ?
I mean I am serious." Its you who have laid down the criteria. So and so is my case. Its you who should be confirming do I stand eligible or not?"
Check with some other person from admission dept. Someone from there only has to confirm this. As per the interpretation you stand eligible.
Last yr i recollect(faintly) some discussions taking place in this matter. But those candidates had got an outright REJECT although their score was within comfortable limits.

I so wish that this was true. Neither the highest nor the lowest figure is correct. Anyways, yes 15 out of 60 ppl are still unplaced with 6 days left for the final exams to start.
But that dsnt mean, it is a bad course. It is a beautifully structured course with very nice faculty

Stipulated time includes the backlog examination. So if you hav cleared it, rest assured that you are safe

Well, i would request people to not to speculate without having complete facts. How can you calculate average when15 out of 60 ppl are unplaced.
Puys, many ppl base their decisions out of the info available on this page. So plz refrain from any proof less claims

Assuming 18 lakhs was offered to 1 candidate only, Avg for other 44 placed becomes 7.97 lakhs. I certainly cant believe then the lowest is 7.5 lakhs.
12.56 Lakhs fees, how it can be recovered in 1.5 to 2 yrs??? Will ppl stay in footpath and eat garbage... and oh what abt the interest and accommodation expenses?? Minimum 4-5 yrs is recovery period for a puy on loan.
Anyways ppl can join the course if have INTEREST. Just stating some facts.
