@thaparian said:No problem dude. I would like to clarify that the not so good placement scene is not because the courses are bad. It is because of many events like psu not hiring etc. so finance placements are bound to take a hit

Hi,
the website says we need a transference certificate from the college..is it the same as the transfer/leaving certificate???
Got done with the document verification + admission process on the 12th.
Quick rundown.
1. Enough signage outside the campus to let you know where you should be headed.
2. Process begins in room 901 on the 9th floor. You have to fill up a form with educational and work ex details. Take a form and a token number and fill it up.
3. When your number is up, you are called and only the attested copies of all documents are checked in this stage. Make sure you have an identity proof copy (Pan Card/DL/Voter ID etc.)
4. The documents you show are marked on the form, TC/MC/Releaving Certificate - in case not available is asked to be submitted before 29/06/2013. Once this is verified, you'll move to the next room 902.
5. 902 is where your originals are checked. There was a panel of three women who were going through each marksheet - one was particularly suspicious (even though I had everything in order) and was calculating my percentage on a calculator and such. Once that is done, they pass your form with the attested copies attached over for another verification check. Originals are returned.
6. Keep your DD ready with your Name, NMAT ID, Course and Contact Number on it. When called, give your form and DD to the lady at the end of the room, who'll process it and give you a receipt.
And that's it.
------
For hostel admissions.
This part was confusing because some of us were told it would be on the 8th floor but then it ended up being in the 9th floor itself.
Meet Mr. Venugopal in Administrations - nice guy, who'll explain clearly and even give you a print of the hostel application form in case you mess up the first time. Fill it, and take the form and DD and submit it at (either the accounts office in 8th floor, or room 902 - clarify this) obtain receipt. Then come out of the campus, do a fist pump/cartwheels/Shoaib Akthar airplane dance.
@Kathiravan.J Originals are returned. See point 5. If there's still time send over a scan of your ID proof to your cousin. Also, make sure he has the proper authorisation letter.
