Dear Sir
If some one is in bench do isb consider that phase as experience.? or for experience they have to be in a project. ?
Dear SirFor some R1 waitlisted applicants the status has remained same since R2 result announcement. Does it mean that these applicants continue to stay in the waitlist. When can we expect to hear further from ISB.
Yes, you are still on waitlist for this year. All waitlisted applicants shall have their status updated by the first week of March. Thank you for your interest and patience.

Yes, since you are a permanent employee 'bench' time at IT firms is considered full time wkex. For projecting work related or other achievements and takeaways you should consider clarifying this situation via your essays.
Good day Sir;
I am a marine engineer in the merchant navy with close to 9 years experience. i just wanted to know if there are people in your class with the same profile or have you met any s with a similar profile in the previous batches . Whati could make out from earlier threads is that companies come to the campus with specific roles for their candiates. but me being from the shipping industry , do you think i have any chances for placement elsewhere since by primary aim of doing an MBA is to change from my present profession

Have you thought about what you would like to do post MBA? Most top B-schools expect all candidates to have an acceptable level of clarity around their 'why MBA' objective. With greater maturity and wkex , this clarity and focus is expected to be sharper.
In each incoming class we have several merchant navy (both deck & engine) and other professionals. They have done well since ISB due to the reasons I have outlined earlier. Please feel free to call our admissions team to discuss tips on to make a strong application in your case.
Hi Sir,I too want to know, how effective is PGP from ISB, if we want to change our career track and not join back our industry/company?
Here's some hard data on career changes:

I am an ISB Aspirant. I plan to apply under the early entry option. I wanted to know how someone like me with comparatively lesser work experience would fare in placements against a crowd that mostly has 5 years work experience on average, both in terms of opportunities and job profiles offered.
I have a query. If someone joins ISB while taking one year leave from work (without actually resigning), does ISB ask for a NOC from the candidate's employer for allowing the candidate to sit in placements?

No one shall join the class with fewer than two years' workex. And good numbers in each class are in the 2-4 years experience range.
As far as hiring is concerned, real world dynamics are at play. It is upto a candidate to convince interviewers how they best meet their hiring needs in terms of attitude, work ethic, maturity, skills, knowledge etc. Each employer and role usually has its own set of unique requirements and hence candidates are required to do their homework prior to applying. You should also safely assume that roles that require 2 yrs' workex will be mutually exclusive from roles that require 5 or more years' workex. ie., a candidate should not expect to be selected into a role that requires 8 years workex without having such required industry experience.

Unless your employer is financially sponsoring your MBA, you are not required to produce any kind of letter to participate in placements.
Thank you for that response. It would help me get some more clarity if you could please provide data(broad statistics on number of offers, job profile and average ctc) on the kind of offers made to candidates with 2-3 years of work experience.No one shall join the class with fewer than two years' workex.
