can any1 tell me what is the best way to conquer cat paper's quantitative aptitude?is the book of arun sharma good or pearson's trishna ?plz keep in mind that i m vry weak in quant and i need something that starts frm the vry scratch of basic questions and takes me up to cat level?i hv got a lot of tym at my disposal as i m a cat 2013 aspirant.so i m making a humble request to all of u to suggest me the best books and best approach asap.....thanx:)
To start with, Arun Sharma is the best book.
Start with this and then you can refer the Materials of TIME/CL etc. !!
does iift gives weightage to past acads? is the compedition stiffer than cat ?is the question paper of same difficulty lyk dat of cat? plz provide details....

Going by the trend of last few years, Yes. IIFT Paper is a bit tougher.
The weightage to past acads is not on a higher side.

I am having 6 years of IT experience and wanted to change my profile from IT to asset management. How are the prospectus for one year full time executive mba in India for stream change? Is it worth spending that much amount as executive mba is costly compared to 2 year mba? What kind of profiles will we get after completing it?
but i have not given sept cmat attempt n nw if i give feb attempt will be acceppted.....???

1. First of all the worthiness depends on the type of institute you do your MBA from. Domain change is of course possible after an MBA but work ex does play an important factor in placements.
2. Seeing your profile what I would suggest is that you take GMAT and try for a management program from an international university. It will help you change your domain and the investment will also be worth it.
3.In India you can try for ISB .

From what i hear: weightage for written score is about 70%. And out of 1000 calls they give, around 750 applicants will be given a chance to join IIFT (including wailist). So written test is very crucial and ofcourse tough too. All the Best
sir i havn't given my sept. attempt..... does that count if feb score is taken by the institute ....???
