please suggest some colleges for which i can apply???
NITIE
XIMB
IMT

You could apply to FMS as well. You never know what normalisation can do.

Back up --> FORE/LBS/UBS/NIRMA

Rest options can be explored after CAT Results.. !!

Don't go by the analysis on forums.

Stop worrying about normalisation. Let Prometric take care of this.

Focus on the exams that you are going to take like SNAP, XAT. All the Best.. :)

You can expect somewhere near 75-80%ile as per last year's trend.FMS is almost out of reach now.
i gotta work for iift now.
@saikatha NITIE and IIT's B-schools like VGSoM, SJMSOM, DMS Delhi and others are known for operations in India. They boast of some of the biggest names in the industry giving meaty profiles in Operations.

hii can u tell me hws Jaypee Business School?

I don't want to create a rift here but some of your points really are way off the track mate.Either you're ignorant of the IIT's B-schools or you personally don't rank them higher inspite of them providing quality education and some of the best placements year on year. VGSoM's average is 11.xx Lakh/year and you're showing the range between 6-11 and above that quoting their placements are driven by IT firms. You need to give a reality check here.By the same logic the range of IMT G must be from 4-8 since their average placements are 8.xx.I really admire the time you've taken to go through various facts and figures and coming down with this elaborate writeup but then you've really missed a lot of points in your analysis.Hope you take that as a positive feedback.
Agreeing to it , i want to know the source of his data 😃 , other misquoting data on this forum is a punishable offense 😃 it can be termed as maligning name of the b-schools ... @visionIIM-ACL am i correct?

Misquoting facts is wrong and that is what i mentioned in my first post as a response to the analysis that almost all the facts posted are incorrect along with the points mentioned about IITs/NITIE/MDI/SIBM/NMIMS/IIMs and other colleges too.

It is purely a personal opinion which is not derived from facts, so let us not get into debate. However, if facts' source is not known, we can delete all the related posts.

Sir,

This is not to question your analysis or facts that you have quoted here. In my opinion, apart from 2 or 3 points, most of the analysis is Excellent.

Being at GIM, I have probably seen the placement scenario very closely.

For GIM, you have quoted the salary Range as 5-9 which I won't agree.

There are many firms which gave a compensation of 9+ for the last batch. The highest Salary was 14.42.

Leave apart the CTC Part, I myself know at least 2 firms that have only In Hand Salary as more than 9+.

From what I have heard from few of my friends at IMI, the same is true for that college as well.

P.S --> I have no intentions of comparing the colleges over here.

Regards

You haven't but someone already has...

@avinashkrjha, @ankur123xyz, @abhimukh19, @Red_Bull, @visionIIM-ACL There's no point of debate here I think! Those are personal viewpoints (and he himself says so in first line. It's his guide!), just like the replies of expected percentile and B-schools to be applied done by me, avinash or anyone else here!! I do it myself, but like I was telling few pages back, its up to aspirants again to take (or ignore) what they want from each of these posts here!! Its up to them to research for themselves and find out, if what they hear are simple perceptions & subjective views or actual scenario (mostly its the former)

But then yeah I agree to the fact that comparison of B-schools is not allowed in PG, and directly/indirectly that is what has been done in that post!!

So basically no point in going on over this. Either delete the posts or let it be! But one thing is for sure, the effort to type all that out and collate the info (which although is not fully true as many have pointed out) is commendable!

Sir effort is fine but "accountability" .. Kya horaha hai PG pe ye sab?

PS: really frustrated..

@visionIIM-ACL Yes, I think you could delete all the related posts from here. Knowingly or unknowingly we've started comparing the B-school because of that one starting post from devilish which I'm sure was not the motive of this thread. Let this thread be only for helping the B-school aspirant choosing the best B-school for them and not the fighting ground of current/passed out B-Schoolers.
I would also ask my friends @avinashkrjha @abhimukh19 @ajaygovindg @ankur123xyz to come out with their views so that we could settle this as soon as we can.
@abhimukh19 That's what I said. Delete that all the related posts (considering accountability) OR let it be (considering others are also doing it in a different way)!! The choice is up to the moderators!! We can only point out! :D

I do appreciate the effort undertaken in collating and typing that post, but posting outright incorrect information has nothing to do with personal opinions. I do agree that the questions answered were subjective, but when supported by incorrect information as their base i really doubt their credibility. Though aspirants can research themselves and find out, that doesn't mean we all start posting our personal opinion about colleges based on random assumptions. :)

I am only quoting the facts , Placement reports are official sources of the b-schools , if he has any other sources , he should share it with others ...

I can say about my b-school since i have a higher CTC than mentioned in the range :D

Bhai how could you debate something which is factually wrong ... i rest my case

I wont contribute to more spamming on this thread :)

@kimi21 Never seen in any rankings (none of which should not be trusted for that matter), or CAT discussions or anywhere. Hearing it for first time!!

Think before you leap into doing an MBA from XYZ institute (including IIMs)!!
