HI .. Did IIM release official answer keys for CAT 2012?? I guess this is not the right place , but could nt find better place to get this clarified.

Hi..i am expecting 75-80 percentile in CAT (as i screwed up the quant section).
i do have a good academic background though.
Now the thing is i took a gap of 1 year, so i really need to get into a decent B school this year.
i have already applied to wellinger, bimtech noida, along with a few others.
but i have a defense background....so should i apply to 'army institute of management, kolkata'....is it worth applying to..?

i am really confused..please advice..!

Is that suffice for expecting a call from SP JAIN or XLRI with a good %tile in CAT or XAT??

I would not be able to comment on 'army institute of management ' but what I would suggest to you is that look at the placement details, look at the profiles being offered , talk to the seniors. It would help you get a better idea about the college.

Also do not press the panic button so early. Wait till the CAT results because many good colleges keep their admission window open beyond the CAT results date. So if you fare better than your expectations then you will be able to apply to them.

@vivek2013 : IMO, spjain wont give you profile-based call....score based call might be possible due to W-Ex..with score of 95+....and xlri will definitely give you a call with high percentile in xat..

SP jain gives a high weightage to academics , extra curricular activities and certifications. Your profile falls short on the these counts but you can make it up by getting above 95%ile in CAT/XAT.

Hello. my cat didn't go well as much as i practiced and worked hard on it. dont know what happened on the d day.
well, i attempted 12 in QA and 16 in VA sections, but did not do any guess works.
did what i cud. so cud u plzz tell me what %iles i can expect and what shud be my other options at present and to which b school forms shud i apply to coz last dates are appearing fast, that €™s why. plz help.

You can expect around 80-85 %ile.
Apply to colleges whose application window closes before CAT results.
You can apply to:

-TAPMI
-K.J somaiya (IB)
-FORE (IB)
-IFMR
-MHROD
-IIFM

@7harsh Further to what @supratimd916 has said TAPMI, KJSOM, LIBA, BIM T have application deadline after CAT results. So you can look out for them after results. But then, also apply to some others before results are announced.

@romeo1209 If you have a %age of 87, enter it as 87.0, if you have 87.14 round it off to 87.1. You should have a .0 or .1 or whatever is applicable. Cheers.
