@SgrG Focus on other exams for now, and if MBA is not a compulsion this year, try attempting CAT and other exams next year for better scores and admission in one of the top 40-50 institutes in the country!!
@sam1914 Never heard of this college and I guess this college doesn't even come in top 100 ranking. You could get better B-schools at the percentile which you're expecting. I guess one of Symbiosis college is only for the dependents of army personnel(probably SIMS). If you've given snap, you can try for that college.
@chaitanyanift 10 correct in each section, but how many attempted?
If its with 100% accuracy, then with 10Q in each section, probably around 60-65 %tile. With 15Q in each section, around 85-90, and with 20Q in each, 99+!!
Your raw score will be around 96 (based on the attempts and accuracy you say), and %tile of 90+ and maybe 95 also, if the devil called NORMALIZATION is tamed! :mg:
@rahulvardhan We're not predicting exact %tiles here buddy. Its just a rough estimate, which can help aspirants choose the institutes to apply. It may or may not be the same and sometimes it may be up to +/- 5 %tile from what we say depending on the slot (day/time), difficulty level & normalization!!!
Boss i have attempted 17 in quant and 18 in verbal......with 90% accuracy in quant(minimum) and 80% in verbal.....what minimum and max percentile i should expect...i know its not wise to ask but there is always a STILL.....
@pranoyhyd If you're sincerely interested in pure Finance profiles post MBA I wouldn't recommend any institute below the top 15!! Finance profiles are rare in colleges in Tier II and below. They hire mostly for Operations and Sales profiles in such B-schools with profiles like Relationship Manager in Banks, Financial Analyst in banks & IT firms etc.
For Finance as a specialization/electives offered IIM-C, SPJIMR, MFC/MBE, IFMR, SRCC GBO, NMIMS (Banking & Capital Markets) are some I know of. But almost all institutes in top 40 have Finance papers as electives in 2nd year.
@ibad786 I guess Marketing companies do offer core profiles like Brand Management in the ivy league institutes, but not sure if all are offered the same. I mean there will be few who'll go into Sales only maybe because that's what is offered or because of personal choice. In Tier II institutes AFAIK its mostly Sales, and maybe in some institutes a handful get slightly different profiles. One does not get to be too choosy & particular there. Then again in Sales its not always B2C (business-to-consumer) selling. There are quite a few B2B (business-to-business) Sales profiles also offered. You can check with seniors at individual institute on what/how it is exactly.
