@Ismailhcl Buddy, let me be very honest with you. You could get into any of the top 20 B-schools of India going by the number of attempts and accuracy but then your past scores would hurt you if you're not finally getting into top IIMs(top 3) or XLRI or FMS. So, all I would suggest you is to wait for the results to be out. Then after seeing your CAT score and the colleges you could apply to, you can take a call. The main point we miss is not only getting into a good B-school but also life after that. Your past scores may give you a tough time during the company's shortlist and so if the Brand is big, it would somewhat negate the effect. So, if your risk appetite is strong and you're ready to fight the battle till the end, rest be assured MBA is for you :)
Frnds I'm new at this. Can anyone reply with a comparison between new IIMs(RAIPUR,UDAIPUR,TRICHY) & IITs(B,D,KGP) in terms of infrastructure, placements & hostel/food facilities etc.Coz I've heard lots of good, bad & ugly things about these colgs. IF selected which one should anybody choose?

no comparison is allowed here.
you'd better consult seniors of respective colleges :)
Buddy, it's a matter of another few days and the Results will be out. So there is no point worrying about the toughness or comparing it with last year.
Based on your attempts and taking a range of +- 5 or 10%ile as per last year trends, apply to colleges.
@OMG_CAT Sorry for the delay in responding to this. Was out of station for the weekend. Anyways, although I have heard about TERI University, I don't have much idea about it. There are like 1000's of institutes in the country, so of course I don't know details also. That's why most of us here keep saying ask seniors/alumni from the institute. Now to get the answers you want, you'll need to ask intelligent questions. Otherwise, of course there is the problem of some trying to glorify their own institute!!! :mg:
Scope of doing MBA, again is something like asking whether X institute is good/bad. This is something very subjective. X institute may be good for/according to me, but it may not be so for you depending on your personal criteria & conditions. So, I would recommend you try collecting facts and information on all that you can think of - faculty, infrastructure, placements, alumni base, corporate exposure, extra curricular activities and anything else you can think of and then take a call on where to apply/join.
Guys I was not able to find a place to ask this. But its very crucial for me. I am working with a startup as a IT business analyst. I have a outstanding offer from TCS as s/w developer. I am not sure which way to go. I have interest in management but I am not sure if BA job has enough opportunities, and if it better to select a brand ( TCS ), work as Developer and then switch to management afterwards..Please please suggestP.S package is almost same
Sorry for the delay in responding to this. I was out of town for the weekend and had no access to internet!
Since you're interested in MBA, I would recommend continuing in the current job itself. BA profile is very vast. There are so many opportunities and career paths one can go with after being a BA. Strategy/Consulting is the one most sought after.
Also in admission interviews for B-Schools your BA profile will make you stand out in the sea of IT software engineers! :)
@ajaygovindg hello sir!! i am expecting 92+ %ile with 80% in b.tech i wanna ask you, how dms, ism dhanbad is? i know its not that much reputed college, but i wanna ask, why so? means, al the management departments of other IIT's HAS rose to fame and acquired standerd, but why ISM, dhanbad failed to make a mark in management studies....? it is very good engineering college(top 10,as u know), its management department is as old as one of the oldest of other iit's....then why didnt it acquire standerd ....wat could be the reason of it? so will the tag of IIT ,ISM DHANBAD will help me in long run. by that, i mean, is it worth applying considering the tag of IIT? as i will surely get into it, as its cut off percentile is just mere 60%ile..........
@vivaciousmani I would request you to not to post any comments about an institution which would be of negative connotation. While your concern is well understood, it would be better if you can PM your query to any senior who is presently pursuing his/her studies form the institution as they are the best person to actually answer it, or even you can post at their admissions thread. Every institution lives on separate values and charts its own vision for itself and hence it would not be fair to compare how IITs have fared and how ISM is perceived at present when primarily they are the centers of technical excellence and are fast catching up on the management front.

its just an estimate that i will get 35 crrct of 41[according to my mocks] ..... nd i do think that u r just mocking me as i dont think that a raw score of 99 can get one "99.9 percentile" !!!
@Abir1103 -> others have said that i can expect around 95 , but no one has said 99.9 percentile .... even if normalisation works in favor of me then also 99.9 is too far ....!!!
