Only NITIE, NIRMA, Great Lakes & BIMTECH of the reasonably known ones have their application window still open. For others like IMI & IMT (If they reopen), BIM T, TAPMI, MICA, KJSOM, XIME, IITs etc. you can wait for CAT results to be announced before applying.

Nirma's admission window is still open . you may apply there.
After cat results, you may apply to IITs(If you get 95%tile+ score), BIM Trichy, T A PAI, SPM Gandhinagar, K J Somaiya (PGDM and IB). IMI Delhi and IMT Ghaziabad have opened their admission window after CAt results in past. You may also apply to MICA if you are interested in particular specialization offered by it. 😃

@dinnocentfreak : Right now, you can consider applying to NIRMA. For KJ-SOM, TAPMI, BIM-T, IIT's, etc, you can wait till CAT Results are announced.
Through SNAP, you can def expect calls from SIBM-B, SITM. So, if you are okay with these colleges, you can go ahead and apply.. !!
You stand a good chance for Great Lakes as well.

To be true, I dont want to speculate and make you either happy or increase your anxiousness over the matter!
Best way is to wait and watch, CAT results are not very far away! Query mentioned by you is something on which anyone who answers is just putting forth is his/her opinion as no one knows what shall be followed in such cases by Prometric and IIMs.
However, normalization is aimed at bringing the difficulty level of different slots at same level ... by scaling up or scaling down scores of more difficult and less difficult slots respectively.

You need to carry originals for document verification purpose .... for almost all top B-Schools.

Few IIMs will come up with shortlist within few days of CAT result announcement... Colleges taking CAT score otherwise generally begin from Feb.. Few colleges through SNAP might begin from Jan last week or Feb 1st week.
@anujisready4iim its a pgdbm program which few banks have recently started in association with manipal accademy , bangalore wherein a dedicated 1yr course is conducted and on successful completition banks recruit u with assistant manager ( grade 1) .
I dnt think its advissable for u with the profile u r holding. U must go for a proper MBA to make ur career in Investment Banking and with little dedication u can do it.

My query is about IMNU, Nirma University. For a batch of about 180 students, how come the average salary is 8 lacs p.a when the highest package at campus is only 10 lacs p.a? Is it really possible? Or is it just me who thinks that the salary details given on site is skewed?

the average salary of a bschool is relative to the whole batch.....highest and lowest package doesnot play any role in avg .package...
formula= (summation of salaries of all students)/total no of students...

Go through the placements details of other institutes also and you'll be able to unearth many such anomalies. How the average is arrived at, is different for each institute. That's number crunching at its best for you!! :mg:
On a serious note, its better you ask this query in the NIRMA thread. Institute specific queries in respective help desk thread please. Anyways a possible answer to this would be that median is in the range of 7.5-8.5 lakhs!!
@TONYMBA @ajaygovindg Yes, the median salary reported is 7 lacs. But what I feel strange is how come an institute was able to place all of its students (and 180 is a huge number I guess?) in such a narrow margin? All of the 180 students got placed in a range of 7-9 I guess then? Lets even assume that 180 didn't get placed and just 150 did. Even then, I feel that it's kinda strange. At least the highest salary should have been more then. Don't you guys feel so? In most other B-schools with avg package around 7-8 (like FORE, LBSIM, TAPMI etc.), the highest package is around 15 or even more.. which is justified and explainable I guess. And yes, I know how average placement is calculated.
@Bibhu2109 Any 15lakh+ package you see in a Tier II institute is definitely an international placement and it will be 1-2 people who get that!!

And while calculating the CTC which is taken for this average calculation, there are many other "accounting" techniques that can be used to MAKE the median in the range of 7-8lakhs!! Include non-monetary benefits like medical insurance, reimbursements for travel, phone etc. and so many other innovative techniques. No offence meant against anyone or any institute in particular. This is something in general.

@ajaygovindg Alright Sir! Got it 😃 Let me not get into more details. But as the last date for NIRMA is approaching, I am in a dilemma whether I should go for it or not. CAT attempts - 17 & 27 respectively in Sec I & II. Assume an accuracy of 80%. How much can I expect? And suggestions please?
