i am really confused about BIMMTEC.Its deadline is on 31st Dec. How is the college in terms of faculty , placement , brand value etc?i am asking this because i am not sure about my CAT percentile .It can be anywhere between 70 to 95 percentile. So want to keep my options open. I have decent acads and around 2 years of experience. i am looking for MBA in finance.
To be clear , i am not asking in their thread becoz i am only gonna get rosy picture from any admission committee of any college.

@Red_Bull what is the expected cutt off in cat this yr in iit ??? i have 75% throughout and am an engineering student....... expecting 80-85percntl in cat... do i stand a chance???
@SNAPstER i hv 75% throughout in engineering....... expecting 80 percntl in cat... do i hv a chance in any iit or???????? plzz help
these are the cut offs for the IITs of last year IIT Bombay :- 98.73 IIT Delhi :- 98.85 IIT Kharagpur :- Profile based calls though AFAIK 95%tile was the least IIT madras :- 93-94%tiles IIT kanpur :- 93-94%tiles IIT Roorkee :- 95.1%tiles
@fazer55 IITs have very less number of seats(apart from lesser fees and quality placements) and they generally get more than 4-5 thousands of application every year. This is the reason why their cutoffs are always on the higher side. Anything above 95%ile would be a safe bet to get a GD/PI call. The best I could suggest to you is to wait for the CAT scores to be out and then you could fill the forms. Don't go by your expectations(for Percentiles) that's all I could say right now.We could talk after the results are out :) Best of luck for your results !!
@Red_Bull okk.. and how r nit's for mba??? what r their cutt off for cat/xat or cmat????.... and which is the best nit to pursue and the cut off for dat.........
@fazer55 NITs are decent option for doing MBA. Their placements were mainly driven by PSUs and its good for someone who wants to start their career with any PSU. But now things has changed as PSUs have decided not to hire from MBA colleges anymore. I guess the reason is because of the Madras high court order. I would suggest you to look for their current placement(of batch 2011-13) and then take a final decision.

Dont look beyond top 40 colleges in India for MBA .. Specially considering quality of placements which is the main purpose of MBA for most aspirants
