[2023] Which B-Schools should you apply to?

Thanks a ton sir.
Just a last question, is it worth going for those 95 percentile above colleges via MAT ?
1. They will be the best colleges through MAT.

2. But it's worth or not depends on your expectation level. No MAT College comes in Top 50 if we go by PG Rankings.

3. Hope this helps. Get back for any further query. ATB.. !!

@avinashkrjha

Thank You Sir.

@supratimd916 yes.. i was also told there r some coll. in delhi univeresity providing MBA specifically in economics.. but they r not valued a lot in India.. n i want to settle in India only..
what wud u say about it ?
Ref. - my brother's in IIFT Delhi..
See the financial sector is changing dramatically in India. We are soon going to move to the IFRS system which will make Indian accounting system similar to that in all other countries.
Also many companies are working with foreign clients who need such kind of expertise.So I think even if you follow specialized courses in economics you will do well.

@supratimd916 the fact is that i want direct admission fr scm as i dont hav time to prepare fr CAT .. so i belive is ther no college that will give admission without CAT

irma & ximb's cutoff for rural mngmnt ?
is there sectional cutt off ? if ys . wat was the cuttoff for ga section

@luv2bwith

Dude you have got a good profile which is WORTH a call from any B-School in India provided you perform well in CAT/XAT or any other exam which you are attempting this time.

I understand ur IT se pak gaya hoon wala angle (I am going thru d same 😛 )

and about you being Demure...it`s just a matter of opening up and expressing urself just like u did in this forum :)

Try for this year only...U still have time left...ATB..cheers :)
@avinashkrjha AICTE released the list of institutions that will accept CMATscores for admission to their MBA/PGDM programmes in the coming academic year.
It's mentioned on their website that "CMAT is the only test for admission in MBA Programmes in AICTE approved institutions and University Departments of all the states".
The list includes XLRI Jamshedpur, NMIMS Mumbai, GIM... what does this mean?!?!?!?!
will the XAT scores still be acceptable for admission to XLRI and GIM???
similarly NMAT for NMIMS???

Yes there usually is a sectional cut-off for GA in IRMA. In my time (2009) the cutoff was about 12 or somewhere near. And believe me IRMA has one of the most difficult GAs. A lot of my pals didn't get a call from IRMA/XIMB-RM coz they couldnot clear the GA cut-off.

My case was different :gm: Mera sirf GA and Verbal ka hi cutoff clear hua tha :banghead:

@puneetkralia - This is where we can continue our discussion. :)

@EnfantTerrible Thnx for the motivation m8.

I am trying my level best man,however,the competition over and at this forum has left me look like a fish out of water.

Havnt even given a mock yet.Will be strting from 10th,so m bit nervous abt my preparations.

Thnx fr the reply newayz...ATB to u too...Chak De..

There is no direct admission scheme in any college , you have to seat for an entrance test test followed by a gd -pi. Also colleges which give such type of admission will not be able to give you the type of knowledge you want.

IMI and IMT ,ghaziabad are both great colleges but they are not finance specialists. They are good for marketing.

The only college I failed to the list was MDI,gurgaon.
