1.It would have been better if you would have got some work ex under your belt. As work ex is the best remedy for any lacunae.
2. But dont get disheartened , get a good score in CAT so that your graduation marks get covered up.

1. With a 99+ ile you will definitely get a call from FMS & MDI. Also MDI gives a huge weightage to CAT score. So a good CAT score can see you through its selection process.SP jain is a tough nut to crack as they put large amount of emphasis on profiles
2.Dont worry about the profile because acads donot have more than 10-15 % weightage any where . Also your 10th & 12th marks are pretty decent so only place where you will lag behind is graduation.
3. Dont look at the past, move on and conquer the future.

i wanna know if i stand a good chance of cracking colleges like IIM-A,C,L SIBM NMIMS IIFT MDI etc.. provided i get a 99+%ile.. no hopes of SP JAIN and IITs and FMS i know..
and my other query is that everyone says that any person will get a call with an average or below average acads if they score well in CAT.. but are they able to convert that call??? please help me with this..

Yes. Nothing to worry as there will be one more CMAT in Feb. Till then Focus your preparation on CAT/XAT. ATB.. !!

Dont worry . This CMAT is being held twice. So you can give it a shot in Feb again. Also you have CAT, XAT , SNAP coming up. So just stay focused and you will definitely do well.

1. 60% throughout is a stringent criteria in most colleges. But in some places it gets relaxed if you have other qualifications to show e.g CFA, FRM.
2. MDI is one college which gives very high weightage to CAT score. So may be a 99%ile score can make up for the undergrad score.
3. Conversion of calls is a complete different ball game. It takes into account all possible criteria. So if you can fare well in other places you will surely convert.

Does anybody know if IIT Madras considers GMAT scores for its MBA admissions? I want to know whether IIT Madras considers GMAT scores only for NRIs\PIOs or it accepts GMAT scores from Indians residing in India also? If so, any idea about their minimum expectations?

1. IIT Madras considers both CAT as well as GMAT Scores for its MBA Admissions.
2. CAT Cut off was 94 with 88 sectionals.
3. No idea about GMAT Cut off score. You can check up in the last year's PG Thread.

1. For finance, IIM Joka is known to be the mecca.
2. Apart from IIM's, other options could be SPJAIN, NMIMS, MFC, IIFT, IMI, etc.
3. Seeing your work-ex of 6+, I would suggest you to go for Exe-MBA.
