[2023] Which B-Schools should you apply to?

@ajaygovindg Hahaha! Sure, PM will be our conspiracy-making spot! 😉 *evil laugh*
@thePANDA Its not a conspiracy making!!! I'm not maligning any institute also, and least of all my institute!! I would gladly give the information here. Just that some information is better given individually as per past experience of mine & many other people here in PG.
@ajaygovindg Yep, I understand!
@supratimd916 are these courses related to capital markets? I see most of them are financial engineering specilizations?

Financial engineering is related to capital market. It deals with risk analysis , derivative structures etc.

Go through the course structure and if you still have any doubt you can get back.

ATB!!!

Hi all,

I am appearing for the MBA exams for the first time.

My AIMCATs percentiles has been in early eighties. I know that, this being the final phase every1 is advised to put their best foot forward. However, with office and coaching, I haven't had the time to prepare to my best. Also, I am not very optimistic that I would be able to put in much effort in the coming months.

I am banking on the fact that next yr I would nt be having coaching classes and as such will be able to utilize my weekends.

On this background as well as my AIMCATs n acads ( X-83, XII-72, Grad-76), could any1 suggest me which b-schools shuld I apply to??

Experts plz help.

My best wishes for the Junta.....

1. First of all Register for CAT/XAT as soon as possible.

2. There are quite a few decent colleges that don't have the criteria of 60 as marks in 10th, 12th or Grads. You need to apply to those colleges.

3. As the notification for colleges keep coming, keep checking their eligibility and criteria on their website/PG-Threads and apply accordingly.

4. Try to maximise your CAT/XAT/CMAT Score as much as possible so that it can counter your bad acads.

5. If you did not register for Sep CMAT, you can register for Feb CMAT later on.

6. All the Best.. !!

1. Time management is one prime thing that you got to learn if you aspire to be a Manager. So you need to find out some time from your busy schedule.

2. If you can do so, I am sure there won't be any need to appear again next year for CAT/XAT etc.

3. I would suggest you to apply to colleges with 85+ as cut off.

4. For cut offs, refer ---> http://www.pagalguy.com/forums/cat-and-related-bschools/2012-which-b-schools-should-you-apply-t-83927/p-3594168/r-3607915

5. ATB. Get back for any further query.. !!

Is there any advantage given to applicants with work experience ?

1. For GD/PI Call : Very few college have weightage for work-ex for the initial call.

2. For Final Call : Most of the colleges have weightage for work-ex.

3. But for few colleges, heavy work-ex might turn negative also.

1. You can apply to any of the B-School in India.

2. For specific college, it depends on your expectation level and how confident are you to score good and how good are you feeling performing in Mocks.

3. Get back with your mock scores... !!
