hiecan anyone tell me what is the difference between PGDM and IBthanks
1. Even IB Course is an MBA Course only (in my opinion). Just that you are doing your MBA in IB Course.
2. How is it different from normal MBA Course --> A lot of subjects and case studies are designed to take care of business scenarios from view points like International Political Environment, Foreign Markets (How it operates and how to enter into it), Foreign Consumers, Foreign Financial Markets, Taxation in foreign countries, Import-Export Chain (Supply Chain), etc.
3. There is a focus on diversity and multicultural concerns, International relations and Business strategies sensitive to International Issues.
4. Placements can be in almost all the sectors just like normal MBA students have. International Business Course covers every aspect of industry with just a particular focus on IB i.e. globalization related aspects.

@avinashkrjha sorry to bother you with so many questions, but do i stand any chance in MDI? And should I start preparing for gdpi or wait for the calls to start pouring and then start preparing? Because i really cant understand from which clgs will i get a call. I m really confused!
Converting MDI will be difficult as they give a lot of weightage on CAT Score.
But then, you should start preparing for GD/PI and not waste time.. !!
i have got 147 marks in my cmat 2013 first test + 596 marks in my december mat 2012 + 52 percentile in cat 2012. which are the colleges i can get through..?
i have applied to TAPMI, GIM, SCMHRD, SIMB-pune and bangalore, SDMIMD-mysore and i am considering IFMR, amrita school, welingkar, SIOM, nit surathkal, bhartidasan trichy, XIME,LIBA.
Please tell me if i have missed any good college that i may have a chance for call and my chances in above colleges
@rudy16 I have 81% in X, 69% in XII, 52% in graduations and 60% in Masters and also 16 months work experience. I am OBC-NC category... If I score 90+ percentile in CAT, which college will I be eligible for? My acads are not that good. Any chance of FMS?

Would suggest you to attempt once more next year if doing MBA is not a compulsion this year.. !!

you can get calls from new IIM's but about conversion that can be dicey. I have the same percentile and last year new IIM recruited people with percentile >97. You can apply to IMI, IMT, TAPMI, KJ Somaiya, IITs and other colleges that are open now.
