@dreamonsid said: i need some info on ncfm certifications by nse. do they help or carry some advantage if one wants to pursue an mba in finance
They won't really carry too much weight unless you and some other candidate are on par in all other aspects and NCFM is the only differentiating factor.
But they are a really good for learning as the courseware is very well prepared and easy to understand. And you can leverage the fact that you appeared for these certifications to justify your interest in learning fin and eagerness to get into finance. Go for some of the beginner's module if you are an engineer and new to finance else opt for the advanced modules if you find them too easy.
Getting around 86 - 93%ile in mocks ( sometimes low as well .. but thats the minority..)
Ive filled the following :-
XLRI
SP JAIN
SIBM-P,SCMHRD
NMIMS
IIFT
Will fill IMT,MICA and FMS also...
Any other college that I've missed and should fill.
I want to do MBA in Marketing or general Only.
Last option HR.
Thanks
To be very honest with you. You have filled up forms of B-Schools which require a score of a minimum 96-97 %ile. Because you yourself are saying that you are scoring in between 87-93%ile. I am sure you will do great and score even more, but what about a backup plan? I think you should apply to Nirma, TAPMI, Fore, LBSIM, SIIB, SIBM-B, SIMB, GIM as well. If anything goes wrong, atleast you have some options left with you.

@avinashakrjha yr if i will cross the 65 mark dn my degree will be complete bt i guess they considered my score till 6th sem they call me on my present score i am dam sure i will def cross 65 bt they call me on my present score ...whn my score crd check after selction or before selction so i m confused dat plzz help me
@dreamonsid I feel they would carry some weight. But since the courses are very niche in nature do not expect to have that extra edge everywhere. People who are really looking for diversity in their MBA class profile would give a lot of weight to that
