@Dev_MBApagal said:Hi mona & ReikanHaving Such CAT score, Apply to all the NITs and IITs. If you are specific about best ROI, Then apply to NITK, Surathkal where you can have less fees and good companies to be placed with.with these CAT score you have descent chances to convert it..
Hi @Dev_MBApagal .. I have searched the threads of almost all IITs and i have seen that the cutoff for iits is somewhere around 93%ile. May I know on what basis are you making this comment. I may be wrong, i just wanted to make myself clear.

@Dev_MBApagal said:Hi @Redeemer_911if you are considering MDI being a fresher to have a good ROI then i think you have taken wrong decision.being a fresher you shouldn't have taken a decision of investing 17 lakhs to have a return for 13 lakhs.Return will be possible if and only if you are being placed with a good company.but do you think you can secure a place in a good company while competing with great experienced minds of MDI?? If you are really rely on better ROI, Then try for colleges like NITK,Surathkal , NIT,trichy , DMS,Pondicherry etc..
dear dev please don't misguide aspirants here i am seeing from the past few posts you are promoting NIT's etc while making ppl aware is one thing blantanly telling some one to MDI etc saying he doesn't have any chance is plain wrong . sincere request not to do it .
@Reedeemer911 go on and join MDI if you convert its a great insti

Sorry rags, if it have hurted you anyway..i am not promoting any specific college here.I am currently working with an MNC.so i don't have anything to do with colleges. Do you think that my point regarding ROI is a wrong and misleading one???Check out MDI admitted candidates profile.around 95% of them have work experiences.so do you think it's easy to get placed with a dream company while competing with selected brains from all over india???
@souravg said:@SHRUTI03 no point in applying for NITIE n among IITs you won't get calls from IIT(B-D-K)..
saurav, What is the harm in applying in IIT if it is free .. she is a girl and if IITs also introduce some girl criteria then she might end up getting a call..
Nitit on the other hand she cant apply at al as registration process is already closed..
@Redeemer_911 MBA is not an end but a means to end. Salary,placements,package..all this are imporatant. But I feel the knowledge, exposure, skills, network, brand that one gets from a B-school are even more important. A premier institute like MDI will offer all this. So don't even think twice,go and apply. Coming back to your question on financial aspirations and ROI,let me tell you mate, it solely depends on how you PERFORM. Remember, just getting into a big institute is not an achievement, but to be able to perform, survive and make your way through. Once you gain the skills and knowledge from a premier institute, you can always earn big bucks in future and dream of -

buddy it didn't hurt me and ROI is not only immediate returns and monetary benefits. The exposure , knowlegde, and oppurtunities one gets from a Tier-1 college like MDI is far more than the some lower tier college. and buddy many colleges take fresher and work ex ppl whether one gets placed or not depends on what he/she does after going into the institute. I too am an aspirant and have no intrest in any specific college. I never said you promoted some college please have a look at my earlier post 😃 . You can consult any senior puys here even they would pick a Tier-1 coll over something lower . If you have queries regarding this or anything else to say plz PM me and let's keep this thread clutter free for aspirants 😃 cheers and ATB :)

@aravindtp At this percentile of yours, all IITS looks very difficult. Would suggest you to take informed decision as the cutoffs of all the IITs are more than 93%ile.
@Dev_MBApagal Dude, seriously. What are you upto?
I mean its alright to guide the aspirants but then giving complete false information would be doing more harm than good for the aspirants. None of the IITs cutoffs are lesser than 93%ile and here you're suggesting everyone to apply for the IITs claiming their cutoff to be 70%ile.
Think about the amount of money and energy these guys would be investing in something which they could not be sure of getting. The application fees are in the range of 1000-1600 bucks for every IIT. Multiply that with number 6 and we're talking about a big number.
Kindly refrain from giving information which are not true. I would though still encourage you to help the candidates unless of course your information are right.
