[2023] Which B-Schools should you apply to?

Do you mean Average SALARY? Or is this regarding fees?
I meant Average Salary.. 😃 Please let me know if there is any mistake.. !!

Don't have the collated list with Fee Structure. But following are the colleges with Avg Salary approximately in the range of 5-7 lacs :1. MIB/MHROD 2. XIME 3. SIMC, Pune (Doesnt have a 100% placement. about 10% get good placements, and 50% batch remains unplaced) 4. SCIT, Pune (Again, its between 4 and 5) 5. SITM, Pune (Maybe above 5, but it too doesn't have a cent percent placement record) 6. IMT, Nagpur (definitely not a 100 % placement record) 7. XISS, Ranchi 8. NIT. Trichy 9. NIT, Surathkal 10. SRCC GBO, DU 11. UBS, Chandigarh 12. SIOM, Nashik (6 -8 students from the 2010-12 batch still remaining to be placed) 13. DSM, DTU, Delhi 14. BIMTECH, Noida (Definitely the AVERAGE salary is less than 5) 15. IMDR, Pune (No idea) 16. NIBM, Pune (No idea) 17. SDMIMD, Mysore (No idea) 18. SIBM, Banglore 19. SIIB, PuneYou can check the fee structure individually from their websites. ATB.. !

@BABA_Pencho thanks yaar
@avinashkrjha - You see, we all go by the brand name, perception, website and the word of mouth details we get about the institutes. But once the placement season starts for YOUR OWN batch, you actually get an idea of what exactly happens where and the real picture gets clear. :)

I have no idea about the process of this college to be honest, so I won't be able to help you with that. But @ankur123xyz here is a current student at NM.
He surely can help you with your queries.
@ambitiousviolet

NMIMS does give high weightage to your written score. So make sure you do really well in NMAT. You can check out the Placement report for this year to know which all companies offered profiles in finance.

1. Cut Off : They call every applicant for GD. After that they eliminate based on Score and GD Performance.

2. Placements : Avg Salary - 8

3. You can decide whether to apply to TAPMI or not after your CAT Results as the deadline is Post CAT Results.

4. All the Best.. 😃 😁

@geniakash are you sure considering i am from mumbai itself coz i have heard maharashtra students get only thru cmat ..so was confirming it..but u r saying it accepts cat ryt pakka ?
It accepts CAT Score as well. But cut off score through CAT is more difficult to achieve as compared to other exams. Hope this helps.. !!

@ambitiousviolet let me put it this way.. last year the accepted cat score.. but ur cat%ile was = ur cmat %ile that is 99.91 in cat is = 99.91 in cmat.. so u only think, where it is easy to score.. so cmat is a better option...

You have a fair chance of getting through provided you do well in the process. Make up for what's missing in your profile through your performance in the case discussion and interview.
@ambitiousviolet gk is not tough bro.. 70% will be current affairs so, buy a recent current affairs magazine.. that should help:)
@avinashkrjha : thank you ...

IBS - Hyderabad.
The others, are not worth spending money on. My opinion.

Hey Seniors,

I have enrolled only for Byju Mock cats.....and I am getting around 97-98.6 percentile consistently in that.....purely based on this info What can i expect my real cat percentiles to be......any senior with prior experience of byju mock (of their own or of their friends) please help

p.s - I know exact predictions cant be done but then a little idea would help me in analyzing myself in a better way......

to all the experienced ones and seniors i have a doubt in my mind ... does having experience in IT and that too more than 3 years and then going for MBA is not considered good while sitting for placements later ... I have some friends in few good colleges and they have put this thought in my mind that since i didn't took admission earlier and now having work ex >3 will hold me back while placements as they companies don't prefer work ex in IT and that too more than 3 years ... seems strange to me ... but would really like to know is this the situation????

It is not only about IT Domain. But the point is that it is not easy to change your domain when you have heavy work-ex. e.g If you want to change from IT to Finance or Sales or Marketing. That doesn't mean that it is not at all possible but companies have this selection criteria which they don't mention explicitly. And the situation is same across all the B-Schools except for may be top 4-5 institutes. So while entering into any B-School, just keep in mind that it won't be easy, there will be some fight.

Hope I have answered your query. All the Best.. !!
