IMI bhubaneswar has started in 2011 and the first batch will pass out in 2013...Being from IMI B , I can say that the college is going in right direction ...You may consider IMI B for applying ...

@saikat88 Give CAT and MAT and try on getting a good score. A lot of good schools accept candidates on the basis of their MAT score and not on the basis of past acad record.

For the new campuses . summers have been decent , faculty base is good infact 2 of our professors are now acting as directors for these two institutes
Having said that final verdict can be stated by Jan 2013 when final placements will happen , infact i would say that if one is expecting late 70s or early 80s .. one should apply especially to IMI Bhuv

TISS has it's own separate exam. It doesn't accept any other Score. The exam usually happens on 2nd Sunday of December.

Regarding sp jain i have three queries:
1. What was the last year cut off for cat and xat applicants in sp jain
2. Sp jain gives two types of calls - profile based and score based.....so do they conduct interview of both the kind of candidates at the same time....if they do that then its pretty unfair !
3. can i apply more than once i.e can i opt for more than one specialisation ? i m ready to pay xtra 1200 bucks

I'm in B.Tech, final year. I've to ask that in IIFT(or any other good b-school), do they consider B.Tech marks? I mean, I've low score less than 60. Only 50 aggregate till 6th sem. But I'm working very hard for MBA and i was good with marks till 12th. I scored 85 in 12th. But this B.Tech score really makes me tensed.
Please tell me that even with low aggregate i still have chance to get into IIFT If I work hard for the entrance or i'll have to suffer for this one mistake?

If you'll do fair in entrance exam, GD and PI then B.Tech marks is not a barrier for you. so better prepare hard for it. Best of luck
