@avinashkrjha Hi can anyone tell me how gd is LBS delhi..how are the placements and is the roi gd?
@Pia_7 said: I'm in B.Tech, final year. I've to ask that in IIFT(or any other good b-school), do they consider B.Tech marks? I mean, I've low score less than 60. Only 50 aggregate till 6th sem. But I'm working very hard for MBA and i was good with marks till 12th. I scored 85 in 12th. But this B.Tech score really makes me tensed. Please tell me that even with low aggregate i still have chance to get into IIFT If I work hard for the entrance or i'll have to suffer for this one mistake? Hope you will help me! I'm really worried.
Hi
Yes, you have chance to make it to IIFT. IIFT pays huge weightage to written score ( as per past trends ) so if you can score high in written exam, you definitely have very good chances of converting. To support his, we have had people in past with marks around 60 in B.Tech making it to IIFT first main list itself because of high IIFT exam marks coupled with a good GDPI performance.
Hope this helps!
All the best and need not worry! 😃

We cannot comment about a college whether it's good or bad. It is all relative.
I can tell you the facts about LBS.
Fee : Approximately 6 lacs for 2 years
Average Salary (Placements) : 7.7 lacs
Median : 7.8
Highest : 14.5
Hope this helps.. !!

1. Not for most of the colleges. But you could be asked about the heavy work-ex in your interviews.
2. Few of the questions could be :
Why not Executive MBA ?
How will you adjust with the batch where there won't be much people of your age?
What if most of the companies don't shortlist you? etc etc..
3. All the Best.. !!

1. You can expect to score anything beyond 85%ile. Keep working hard and try to enhance your mock scores.
2. Refer this post regarding cut off's : http://www.pagalguy.com/forums/cat-and-related-bschools/2012-which-b-schools-should-you-apply-t-83927/p-3594168/r-3607915
3. Apply to colleges having cut off %iles 85+ (As of now).
4. Later on, you can apply to colleges in the range of 80-85 for back up.
5. Also keep an eye on the deadlines to apply for the college.
6. Through SNAP, you can apply to : SIBM, SIIB, SIBM-B

HR Course from TISS is one of the best in the country along with HR Course of XLRI (PMIR). So, there should be no second thoughts in applying to the course if you are interested for HR. All the Best.. !!

To All The Aspirants :
1. Keep an eye on the deadline of any college you are applying to.
2. Few colleges will have deadlines Post CAT Exams. So you have an option of applying to those colleges after you take your CAT Exam.
3. Few colleges have deadlines before the start of CAT Exam Window. So if you want to apply to those colleges, apply straightaway. Sometimes, we get so busy in preparations that we miss out applying to Colleges. So it's high time we take care of that.
4. I would recommend everyone to prepare a Consolidated List of all the Colleges you want to Apply with it's Deadline.
5. Few colleges will have deadline Post CAT Results. So you can decide on them after you get your CAT Scores.
6. I would personally suggest everyone to appear for as many exams as possible. That gives you a lot of exposure and experience. Appear for NMAT, XAT, SNAP, TISS, Feb CMAT as well.
7. If you have not yet started to practise Mocks, it's high time to get going. Do at least 1 mock every 2 days. And only attempting mock is not important, analysing them properly is more important. Figure out questions which you are not attempting. Also figure out those questions that you get wrong frequently. Try knowing the reason for doing it wrong. If it is beacuse of lack of basics, practise few questions from that topic from the individual chapter of material or book. Identify the areas of strength and weakness and then make ammends accordingly.. :)
8. Don't take Bad Mock Score to your Heart. That doesn't mean that you won't score high in CAT. Just take the learnings properly from these mocks.
9. All the Very Best. Go for the KILL Now..
