... & as i m intersted in finance, would u suggest applying for SSBM (BANKING MANAGEMENT ) ??

@avinashkrjha dere are some colleges..eg.XIMB...who accept bth CAT and XAT scores...will i hv 2 apply twice if i wnt dem 2 cnsider bth d scores?

Fee is less as far as i know, placements are average.. and in my honest opinion, one should not be doing MBA from there unless some constraints are there! When MBA from IITs except Mumbai and Delhi alongwith kharagpur to an extent is still far from achieving decent repo, you can estimate time for NITs to reach certain threshold!
Anyways, I am not discouraging but just giving a honest view!

1. The advantage of doing MBA from NIT's could be the lower fee.
2. But then RoI doesn't mean the immediate placements but the value addition in the long term i,e 4-5 years down the line.
3. So, as a Brand, NIT's are yet to come to the standards of IIT's or other top institutes.
4. Placements (Approx)
NIT-T : 6-6.5
NIT-K : 5.5
NIT-D : 5
5. As per Pagalguy Rankings, NIT-T is the best among NIT's.

For XIMB :
You need to send separate forms (as far as I know) for applying through CAT and XAT separately. Even for applying to separate courses, you need to send separate forms.
Charges applicable are Rs 500 extra for every additional course/exam.
For details, refer the helpdesk thread of XIMB.
For others : It depends from college to college.

@avinashkrjha i have done my grad in bsc IT !! looking at it which colleges do you highly recommend i should fill .. and which i could skip due to monetary issues !! plus I am inclined towards UBS .. can you gimme that sweet spot i should hit in CAT in order to make my entry in UBS with an average profile interview n GD !! i have read on PG it gives 85% weightage to CAT scores !

1. Which Colleges : That depends on your interests and your expectations. If you want to do MBA in IT, then the choices could be different. If not, then different. But you are eligible to apply to almost every Top B-School except for a few (one's with %age criteria and Engg as requirement).
2. UBS : As you already know that it gives a lot of weightage to CAT Score, would suggest you to score as high as possible.

as I am an engineer.I can apply for IIT'S.Already know abt IIT B AND IIT D.
But what abt else....their cut off....placements....and order in which one should consider them....
