@soSha relax, this is normal, you dont need try to hard now, just be confident that you can do it, CAT is all about pure common sense, just be calm and give it your best shot, and please dont try and burden yourself by answering too many Mock interviews as CAT comes closer, infact, i would advise you not to take any mock test 7 days prior to your CAT date, it will only increase your anxiety nothing else
@thotz You've a quality work-ex and I would just suggest you to not look for any colleges lesser than the stature of IIMs, XLRI and ISB's executive program. These college's executive program as such doesn't have any specified cutoff and a lot depends on your overall profile. Like for ISB, they generally give calls to people whose scores are in the range of 640-760(in GMAT) and with a good profile. I would suggest you to go through the websites of all the executive programs you want to apply to and then shortlist the best out of them.
Personally I would suggest you to apply to IIMs executive program, XLRI and ISB.
Personally I would suggest you to apply to IIMs executive program, XLRI and ISB.
@Red_Bull One more question, do i need to give GMAT for applying to the IIMs or ISB?Can't i do it with a CAT score?
Thanks for the info.

For ISB & IIM's Executive program you need a valid GMAT score.

1. GD/PI Process will be once only.
2. Best of the 2 Scores would be considered if candidate has attempted both the CMAT's.
3. Yes, PUMBA is also in the list of DTE.
4. I am not sure about the cut off's for OMS. But as far as I know, it was very high. Please confirm it with some Pumba Senior when the helpdesk thread comes for PUMBA.

1. Academic Record is something that you cannot change now.
2. But you can def perform to your potential and give your best for CAT/XAT/NMAT/CMAT etc and then the GD/PI.
3. So, focus on that and I am sure you will land up in a Top B-School.
4. I have many friends who have marks similar to you and few with even lower than these and they are studying in Top B-Schools of India. If they can, so can you. All the Best..
@avinashkrjha thanks sir ...really motivating ......

@saarthakorama said:@avinashkrjha thanks sir ...really motivating ......sir i generally score 70-85%ile in mockcats .... how should i choose ki which college to apply for ......
1. First thing is your expectation level. If that is sattisfied, Apply to that College.
2. Second point is your Mock Score. Seeing your Mock Scores, you can expect to score anything beyond 80%ile.
3. Third thing is deadline. Many B-Schools will have last date for applying after your CAT Exam and few will have after CAT results as well. So you can apply accordingly.
4. Fourth point is your desparation to join a b-school this season only. If it is Yes, you should apply to a greater pool of colleges. If it is No, you can skip few.
5. Having said all these, I would suggest you to apply to colleges with Cut Off's 80+. All the Best..

1. Seeing your mock scores, you can expect to Score anything beyond 85%ile.
2. I suggest you to apply to the colleges with cut off's 85+ .
3. Eliminate those having very high Fee as you left 2 colleges last time for the same reason.
4. Apply to these colleges for sure ---> MDI, MFC, MBE, IMI, IMT, KJ-SOM, XLRI, XIMB, GIM, UBS, SIBM, SCMHRD.. !!

Since you are already working in a PSU, you must be getting a decent Pay.
So I suggest you to take up only Top B-Schools.
Good B-Schools offering Ops :
IIM-B (Among IIM's)
NITIE, Mumbai
SPJAIN, Mumbai
SJMSOM, IIT Mumbai
IIT Delhi
which B schools offer courses in envronment management in india..i know only about NITIE....Please share some information on this
@worcoholic said:which B schools offer courses in envronment management in india..i know only about NITIE....Please share some information on this
There are not many reputed colleges in this sector in India.
One more college apart from NITIE that comes to my mind is IIFM, Bhopal.
Indian Institute of Forest Management (IIFM), Bhopal is a sectoral management institute which constantly endeavors to evolve knowledge useful for the managers in the area of Forest, Environment and Natural Resources Management and allied sectors.. 😃
Pardon my ignorance and my having posted this query here, I want to know about JBIMS. I have heard that it is a great insti but I am completely in dark regarding its entrance procedure. Does it accept CAT score? If it doesn't, then which scores does it use? If it does, what is the cutoff around? Has its notification been released yet?
FINAL COUNTDOWN
September has gone and now there are only few days left for CAT 2012 to go live. Butterflies are bound to be there in your stomach as the exam day approaches. But don't let your anxiety get in the way of all your efforts made. It is a very crucial phase now and you need to be calm and stay focussed.
Here are some of the important points that you need to take care of in this final few days to CAT :
1. Take Mocks every 3/4 days. Don't take more than 2 or maximum 3 mocks per week. Practise the past CAT Papers as well. Especially the papers that used to come before 2005. Analyse your mistakes properly. Identify the silly mistakes that you do. Make a note of it. If you are making some conceptual mistakes, identify that as well. Try to avoid questions from that area.
2. Try to finalise the strategy you are going to use. Check what strategy suits you. Don't be worried about the Bad Mock Scores. You only have to learn from your mistakes.
3. Now that only few days are left for the D-Day, don't think much about your week areas. Play on your strengths now.
4. Don't learn any new concepts now.
5. Don't over stress yourself in the last few days. Don't study more than 5-7 Hours a Day. Good health is very important at this point of time.
6. Have some fun as well. Listen to music, watch movies, play some games, etc.
7. Stay motivated. You may read some motivating articles. That helps.
8. It's more about your attitude now and not the aptitude. All the Best.. !!
Cheers
