Your aimcat percentiles are quite good. You should apply 93-97 bracket of B schools.
and as a backup keep somein 85-90 Bracket.
And some in 97+ bracket

IIT KGP, K, M,
NITIE
MDI (97+)
IMI
IMT
SPJIMR
XIMB
As backup:
KJ SOmaiya, Fore, TAPMI, IIT-K etc

I have seen many with better percentages in UP TU .. so wont comment on that but you have good profile .. and you should apply to most of the top 20-25 b-schools and if you look back a couple pages you will @avinashkrjha's awesome posts on queries similar to yours ..

@raja1355 Expect sure short calls from All IIT's except IITD and IITB even if you score between 85-90%tile. Looking at your profile, you have decent chances of new IIM's too. But since you're scoring well in mock cats, i am sure you will get better score in actual CAT,So brace yourself for All top 20 B-Schools and start reading topics related to current affairs especially economics and finance.ATB-:)

@avinashkrjha Thank you for posting the MDI deadline. I had just assumed that it'll be 30th November just like it is for most other B-schools. What is the CAT cut off for MDI (all programs)?

Last year it was 93.xx %ile for all programs. This year, it could increase.. !!

Nowadays CAT has just two sections:
1)Quant and DI
2)Verbal and LR

Do colleges consider cutoffs of ALL FOUR (Quant , DI , Verbal , LR) or just two(Quant and DI combined and Verbal and LR combined)??


How are cat percentiles given? All four separately or just two sections and the over all one?

1. Colleges have combined sectional cut-offs and a overall cut-off i.e Quant & DI , Verbal & LR, Overall.

2.CAT scorecard contains combined sectional scores and overall score. Individual scores of LR, DI ,Verbal & Quant are not given.

What kind of profile does one need to get a profile based call from SP Jain for marketing? I know that there is no set formula but it would be helpful if there are any general trends that any of you have noticed.

@StadiumArcadium You can still get a profile based call if other things in your profile stand out. Besides, SP Jain has score based calls too.

Assume a final percentile of somewhere around 90.
In favorable conditions, it may be 95-96.
Unfavorable condition, may drop down to 80s.
So apply mainly in the range of 90, and some better and fairer colleges, depending on how many colleges you are going to apply:

IIT-Kgp- 94 (Profile based)
NITIE 97.XX (if u score well)
