There are many a good colleges under DU which one can apply.
@abhijeetranjan9 It's very difficult to predict the actual CAT result based on the performances in mock CATs. However, your scores are quite good and you should apply to all the good colleges.

Abhijeet,
Your profile looks good. The general trend is to score around + - 5-10% of one's average mock cat scores. However, your mock cat scores seem consistent and have not fallen below 93 percentile. Given your day, you have a very good chance of hitting the very high nineties. I suggest you apply to all the top 20 B-Schools. The 3 B-schools mentioned by you included.

@mona7 You stand a good chance of scoring well. The ideal style of applying can be:
1. Decide the total no. of colleges you are willing to apply based on ur budget (the biggest criteria..the forms aren't free and neither are they cheap)
2. Apply in the 3:2:1 ratio where each share represents Best Case:Current Case:Worst Case
For example, let us assume that ur budget is Rs 10,000..that empowers you to apply a max of 6 colleges. Then apply ..
Best case(3 colleges): If you are scoring in the range of 90+ in mocks, you can surely expect to score the magic no. 99
.. so apply MDI, NITIE, FMS (and likes of these)
.. so apply MDI, NITIE, FMS (and likes of these)Current case(2 colleges): Considering that u score only as much as ur mocks,
and 92+ is ur score in CAT.. apply IMT Ghaziabad and IMI etc.
and 92+ is ur score in CAT.. apply IMT Ghaziabad and IMI etc.Worst Case(1 college): Life is cruel, we all know.. and it might make an unfortunate turn and land u up at score of 85%ile in CAT (ur lowest mock score)..
so u shud hv a bckup plan in case u feel desperate to do MBA this time only and not dare to try again next year.. apply a college in this range like IMT Nagpur etc.
so u shud hv a bckup plan in case u feel desperate to do MBA this time only and not dare to try again next year.. apply a college in this range like IMT Nagpur etc.P.S. This is just one way of doing this task..just a suggestion..not a hard and fast rule

1. Your expected score can vary anywhere between 88-95%ile.
2. SP Jain is highly profile based (profile not only includes acads but also other additional degrees like CFA ,FRM ). IMT ghaziabad you can apply after CAT results also. FMS Delhi gives more weightage to CAT score and Gd-Pi process.
3. Your profile is quite strong and our mock results are also good. Other than IIMs apply to colleges which excel in your field of interest. Do apply to
MDI,
XIMB
IMI,delhi
NITIE
K.J Somaiya

What is the last year OBC call for below colleges through CAT :
LBSIM(Lal Bhadadur ) Delhi,
IMT G,
NIRMA,
IIT Rrk,
@Adiiiii If you get an exceptionally good percentile things might work out for you. A lot will depend on your 10th, 12th marks as well. If you have a good profile colleges won't unduly penalise you for having a correspondence degree.

For general merit:
LBSIM: around 83 percentile
IMT G: 90 percentiile
NIRMA: 80 percentile overall with sectionals of 50 percentile
IIT Rrk: 95 percentile overall
The OBC cutoffs for these colleges will be around 10-15 percentile lower or maybe even more, however, I do not have accurate information for this.
Please post your query here, you might stand a better chance

There are 2 types of calls. One is full profile based and you need to get 85%ile for that and have an excellent profile.
Other is %ile + Profile based. Usually, people get calls at a 96+ %ile along with good profile.. !!

Absolutely NO.
Try to maximise your CAT/XAT Score as much as possible. I am sure, you will have chances in quite a good number of colleges among the Top 30.
All the Best..

Profile plays an important role in SP.Jain. Academics and degrees like CFA, FRM are given high weightage.
