So the CAT 2012 is finally here :) Best of luck to all you guys who are going to give CAT. Just go and Nail it. People would say its really not easy to score 99+ percentile in CAT but if someone with 206 bones and
approximately 1300 to 1400 grams of brain could do it, you could too :) The differentiating factor is not related to your brain size or any tangible thing. No, absolutely not. The differentiating factor is and would always be your confidence level and your madness towards CAT and the challenge that you guys would be probably giving one of the most toughest examination this season and then the satisfaction of nailing it in style. Lastly , I would just like to quote one of my favourite dialogues from the movie "Miracle" which I've always felt is connected to the CAT pressure.
"Great moments... are born from great opportunity. And that's what you have here, tonight, boys. That's what you've earned here tonight. One game. If we played 'em ten times, they might win nine. But not this game. Not tonight. Tonight, we skate with them. Tonight, we stay with them. And we shut them down because we can! Tonight, WE are the greatest hockey team in the world. You were born to be hockey players. Every one of you. And you were meant to be here tonight. This is your time. Their time is done. It's over. I'm sick and tired of hearing about what a great hockey team the Soviets have. Screw 'em. This is your time. Now go out there and take it.

1. You are eligible to apply to most of the B-Schools except for those which requires only Engineers to apply.
2. You being a non-engineer can give you some edge in the diversity factor.
3. Apply to colleges based on your expectations & mock %iles. Get back for any further query. ATB for CAT..
Is applying to all Colleges seperately a compulsion.....or after a good score i can expect some calls from colleges i hv nt applied to or at that point i aim to apply with my score.....???

Apart from IIM's, you need to apply separately to all the colleges where you want to get admitted.
Few colleges have deadlines before the CAT Results and few have after the Results. And colleges like MDI are already closed with application dates.
So based on your choices, you need to take a call.

As far as I know, I am sure of SPJAIN. For others, please check their website.
For SPJAIN : GMAT (from Jan 2010 to Dec 2012) test takers are eligible to apply. You are taking in 2013, so you will have to apply next year.. !!
