Hi Puys.Need your assistance to guide me :My profile : 10th 77.5 % ICSE12th 54.1 %After 12th 5 Years of work experience (3 Yrs BPO and 2 years Admin)BBA - Final Year Average 82%MAT Feb 2012 score 95.87%ileApplying for CAT,MAT,XAT,SNAP,IIFT,IBSAT this year.Need to clarify 3 things before admission.1. Will my 5 years gap in education after 12th create hurdle during admission.2. Will my gap in education create problem during placements ?3. Does good colleges like XLRI & IIMs take students from Sikkim Manipal University graduates ?
Your work ex may not count quantitatively but you can surely take the qualitative aspects of your work ex and present it during your interview

as u didnt mentioned bimtech so is it worth going for bimtech in this range. and as i am in no mood to give cat next year,so is it decent to end up with amity(last option)

If doing MBA is a compulsion, then you may keep BIMTECH as a back up.
Just gave my CAT today morning, and havent done very impressively in it. Also, with the unpredictable nature of scoring and normalization in CAT, I m pretty confused about what forms I should fill. Have been ranging between 78 to 95 in Proc and Unproc Mocks. Which colleges will most likely give me a call? I have attempted around 36. Any advice or help will be highly appreciated.

Suggest you to apply to colleges with Cut Off %iles 85-95.
If doing MBA is a compulsion this year, you could go ahead with applying to colleges in the range of 80-85 as well.
Check the deadlines of colleges. Apply only to those colleges which have deadlines before CAT Results. For rest, you can apply later on.

MDI IMT G SPJAIN MFC NM are some of the b-schools you should apply too ..
@BHATIADEEPAK02 It is very futile to guess what your CAT score would be because of but obvious normalization factor. You have given your exam and I am sure would have done so with the best of your capabilities. So, relax and move ahead with other exams. Still, to give you a close guess, you should be scoring around 85-90 percentile, as I feel an attempt of around atleast 20 questions each would have been required to secure a percentile around 90-93. But there is nothing much to worry buddy...you still have XAT, SNAP and many more to come, so do no panic and continue the hard work to secure a GD/PI call for your dream institutes. As @abhimukh19 sir told, you can expect most of the good b-schools based on your performance in CAT/XAT.
MDI & IMI are already done with their application deadline.
You may apply to SPJAIN, IMT-G, XL, XIMB, SIBM, SCMHRD, MFC, MBE, GIM, etc.
i was having cat in today 19 oct 2012 morning i found di is tough QA is easy n va is also easy but lr is confusing..SO i have attempt 15 to 16 with 75% accuracy questions in both sections so how much percentile i expect.. i m too nervous i m not happy WITH MY CAT today..n which colleg i should apply from this score........i have no experince...but my acedemicsx-64xii- 75graduation - 80 is okay......please help me anyone!!!
You can apply to few B-Schools with cut off %iles in the Range of 75-85.
Some of them could be --> BIMTECH, LBS, Fore-IB.
Rest can be decided after your CAT Results.
Till then, focus on exams like SNAP, XAT. All the Best.. !!
