I am afraid you require a very good score to get in any of the top 20 but not to worry about the colleges down the list...a good score with a well performed gd/pi will fetch you a decent college :)
hahaha i have seen it bro! but i want to have some spare colleges which can save an year for me! i am not desperate but i want a nice college in mumbai.

You need not worry about acads now.
That is something which is not in your hands now.
What you can do is Focus on other things that you can change --> A good written Score along with good performance in GD/PI can even take you to one of Top 20 B-Schools.
@avinashkrjha Any idea about the intakes at TAPMI and XIME, Bangalore? According to some sources, the intake at TAPMI is 180, but as far as I have heard it is 400.
You have got good academic credentials with sound mock test scores. I would suggest that you apply to all the colleges above 95 percentile range. With the same consistency which you have exhibited in your mocks you should be able to secure more than 95. MDI, IMT, XIMB, IIT D, B, Kgp and M, NITIE, SPJAIN along with IIMs. A good written score would suffice to fetch you a call, but for final conversion you should be prepared with your general knowledge, spruce up your presentation skills which will bolster your chances at GD/PI. i have heard FMS doesnt care much abt academics...is it true?
Yes the Selection pattern of FMS is based on:
Written test : 70 % GD 10 % PI 10% Extempore 10 % In GD PI- EXTEMPORE a student even scoring 1/10-1/10-1/10 is qualified. (FMS don't give much weightage to acads) posted this on last page also :)
@Aki_7 Well you if you are seriously interested in FMS then giving another shot at CAT is totally worth it...we all have a dream b-school...why to settle for less if your dream is within your reach :)

The intake at Xime is 180 and at Tapmi its 465 (300 PGDM + 120 PGDM Second shift + 45 PIO seats) as mentioned in the website.
TAPMI has the permission to increase its intake yes. But it is upto the decision of the admissions department to take as many or as few quality students that they find during the admissions process) Good luck :thumbsup:

Yah will need to get a word from one of the students...and the cut-off for Xime was 70...everyone above 70 was called for gd/pi...even i went for it 😃 Placements are decent, average package stood around 6.25 lacs...
