I need advice regarding the relevance of pursuing an mba at this stage of my career. I am a qualified company secretary and awaitng results of chartered accountancy course.
I really aim just for the iim's at this stage.Since my CA final exams got over on 17th May im gng to be able to start studies now only.
As for the material, i have the CL mat and also the book set of arun sharma.
Although im sure of going for an mba what i am confused about is should i go for it right now or at a later stage coz i have no work ex. Will this academic record be even considerable for gettng into iims.
DO help me out guys cos d tym is sure flying by.

Dude, your academic record is more than enough to get a call from the IIM's. get a percentile of 99.5%, then even if you have got 50% in BA you will get a call
It's so easy for sb to tell a CA to get 99.5pc and get into iim. Even if a person who is non CA gets 99.5pc; he has high chances to get into iim. I too am a CA but joined a IT giant to gain work experience.
I would suggest you also to get work-ex and study for CAT in between. You can appear for cAT this time also. Do join a coaching institute coz we CAs are not known to have faced complex mathmatical problems during our studies like the engineers did.
I have known some boys; who got rank during cpt, pcc; and cracked CAT./XAT to get into IIM(one of them in IImA also; he had got 99.7pc in CAT). They didnt bother continuing their CA final.
CA walon ko 99+ percentile laana bahut muskil hoti he....but namumkin nahin.
