Seniors,wat abt the interview.how many person gonna take the interview and how would it be like?pls share your experiences...
it will really help us...few tips here and there will definately help us to crack the interview.
Thanks for that bit of info abt Case Studies. Apart from case studies i.e in a normal GD can we expect abstract topics for the discussions or is it that abstract topics are rare in FORE's GDs??

well ideally you shud expect anything in a gd ....be thorough with the current national scenario...as some of the groups got topics related to reservation etc last year...topics mite also be on a hypothetical cases as launching a new channel and whom to target etc.....they will be mostly checking your communication and leadership traits along with the logical aspect and the current knowledge....generally they avoid abstract topics but you never know...and really in abstract topic its just how you relate things to it is wt matters ...so won't bet on an abstract topic....

last yr there were 3 panelists....as far as my interview was concerned, one panelist grilled me on the acads while the other one was testing my communication skills and on the spot thinking....the third panelist was mainly trying to put me into pressure by interrupting my answers to the other 2......to sum it all up, u can xpect a round of stress interviews at FORE where they r trying to judge hw well u handle the pressure....
and a key tip to all.....KEEP SMILING 😃 .....not when u r not meant to, but otherwise....it reflects ur confidence.....
and if u dont know an ans to a qs., accept it........the interviewers know more about ur field than u think they wud.....

highest has been 12L and avg has been around 7L...as about laterals, yes they get highlighted, however it also depends on the recruinting company, as per their requirements....

if you talk of placements then i think i shud step in..as i m the member of FCD..the placement cell at FORE...c buddy if you make it to FORE then just chill out for the next two years as you then don't even have to worry a bit about the placements...its fabulous..regarding the laterals ..yes we have lateral placements but as in any other top B school you shud have a wrk ex of min. 2 yrs to qualify for it....but haan one correction with the defination of chill out....its going to be a chill out you r nt going to forget for the rest of ur life....be ready too sleep for 4 hrs for 2 yrs u spend here and even they mite be a luxury...so the mantra to survive at FORE wrk hard party harder..just make it to here...bcoz FORE ROCKS!!!

congrats!!! have you ever seen the mandatory disclosure that AICTE has made mandatory to be disclosed on IMT's site?u will never find it there........i don't know about others...if u go by ranking then we were ahead of IMT AND IMI both last year....we still are ahead of IMI this year.......regarding the salary thing the least last year at IMT was 3 lakhs...so it doesn't mean everyone gets the gold.......regarding FORE the best part with our placement is that our mean salary is also very high..means most of the guys get around the avg.....initially ur joining will be as a MT from wherever you pass out then after a year you are confirmed...

c mostly a copmpany which recruits at.. say MDI and FORE ...will be offering the same designation as Management Trainee at the time of joining...there might be a difference in salary a bit like say if you join from IIM/MDI u mite be offered 8..whreas u mite be offered 6.5 from FORE...but if u don;t consider IIM/MDI/XLRI..then the slotting will be same for say FORE/IMT/IMI/TAPMI etc....and sometimes it differs with the profile of the candidate and the company mite pay you higher than others...
But just a word of advice..beleive me if you really are passionate about making a name in the corporate then forget the salary aspect..we have ppl who have refused a much higher offer to go for a job which they prefer for a comparatively lower salary .....

well, for the GD u can prepare recent topics such as SEZ's, India China etc.....
as far as interviews are concerned, last year there were three panalists....questions wud b mainly directed towards ur work-ex.....and very little about ur acads...some questions wud be directed to wut uv spoken in the GD!!!communication skills wud matter a lot....be dominant but dont get aggressive...keep smilin through the interview..

both ways....the panelists r a mix of technical and HR ppl....u mite get lucky if u do nt hv a software person in ur panel....HR questions are mainly like wut post u were at...hw u performed in a team...hw u resolved issues with ur colleagues, comments about attrition rates in software industry etc....regardin technicals qs u can prepare a little bit about the DBMS...some projects tht uv handled in the organisation...so prepare well about the projects uv worked on!!!they'll try to put u under pressure so keep ur cool out there...thts the key!!

Call up the admissions office...though u shud hv done this as soon as ur results were out...however try convincing them!!!!they should ideally agree!!

well, they do chek the marksheets before the GD/PI process....if you do not hv them then clear it out by callin up the admissions cell!!

i got 93.7 percentile and have pretty good extra - curricular participations and achievements.
what i wanna know is that do i need to carry all my certificates(ie. since my standardII) or only those which i have got after 10th std.. ASkin this coz in scmhrd , they have only asked about th latter..

as per the last year experience do the panel grill engineers in economics as well?little bit of knowledge is sufficient or its required to have depth in it.
one more thing in the interview if they asked me y i want to do mba rt now..what shud i tell?truly speakin,i want to finish the studies at one go..is this answer ok??

well they generally just cross-check with ur mark sheets the percentage uv written on the form....extra-curric certificates were nt asked for, but its considered gud to carry ne relevant certificates with u just in case!!!!certificates of extra-curric before 10th do not cum into tht category however if its been a major achievement then u shud....also, if u have'nt written about it on the form then it wont b required!!
