I'd my GDPI today (7th March) in Mumbai.
Total 15 persons in case study... Case study was like... setting up of 1000 airports in the country by corporates....what about national security, etc.
PI was taken by 2 panelist... both were FORE professors. Questions...
- How does computer work?
- How memory communicate with CPU? Which buses?
- Whats problem India has with WTO?
- Who (lady) went to space recently?
- How do you rate your performance in GD? Why?
- What is latest release by Microsoft?
- What subjects did you learn in graduation?
- Name three female CMs.
Nothing like stress. Interview lasted for 10-12 mins.
i have my gd/pi tomrw.
are they giving only case-studies or normal gd topics also?
and are we required to write the summary of the gd/case?then what is the time provided for that?

i had GD/PI in bangalore yesterday. 6 guys and one girl in GD. girl was pretty cute.. almost looking similar to my girlfriend. initially i thought if i get a chance to talk to her.. i will show her my girlfriend photo.
then i found that she came with her dad. so bad luck.

GD topic was shilpa shetty and big brother - ... ethics by not quitting the show in between.
i was the only one who said, that it was all pre planned and they got shilpa shetty just because they wanted to woo Indian audience. i said.. around mid 90's.. any girl who went for miss world or miss universe..
was.. a winner. even after giving wrong answers.. then i said.. what abt wwe.. the winner, and the tricks.. everything is pre planned.
but no one supported it.
they said, she has upheld the dignity of .. Indian women.. by not quitting the show. she showed character.
i said it was all money that made her react that ways.
when they asked all the guys to summarize..
i did not change my opinion..
so i don't know.. whether that will be taken positively.. will i get good marks in GD..
now PI
it started why u want to go for MBA>> after spending 5 years in iit. what will happen to ur chemical engineering qualification. i said i was always interested in commerce, my whole family is into commerce..
and then they asked me abt sensex.. elections.. i had no clue.. then abt sehwag..
then .. they said.. why u want to continue mba.. stick to engineering.. do what u do the best..
i said.. i don't like chemical engineering.. i want to move away.. change my discipline..
,,, i got 98.6 percentile in cat. so what are the chances

anyways had my GD/PI yesterday at Bangalore,Richmond Hotel @1:30 PM
There were just 2 profs managing the entire affair.
we were around 15-16 guys and were split into 2 batches for conducting the GD
GD:Case study about a b-skool that admits students on the basis of 4 parameters :CAT %ile,graduation %age,GD & PI..they had difft weightages assigned to difft parameters..but the institue was not happy with the quality of students getting selected thru this process..so we had to suggest changes/modifications to the weightages etc.
Went pretty gud....but surprisingly discussion went only for 8-9 mins when the prof asked to Stop and asked a couple of guys for their opinion.:satisfie:
PI:I was the 1st to be interviewed...questions were pretty general
-Tell me sth abt urself
-Why MBA
-Why low acads in degree
-Why is sensex goin down
-Name some stock exchanges in Asia
-Whats ur opinion on the increase in allocation to education in budget ?
-Whats the effect of budget on you ? ..(mentioned the tax thingie 😃 )
Thats it..done in less than 10 mins 
Seems like either the profs were pretty quick in evaluating or they in a hurry to catch a train back home as somebody suggested

hi everyone ! i am Karn, currently pursuing my B.Sc(h) Comp. Science from Delhi University. i got a %ile of 94.1 in CAT 2006. Got calls from Fore, IMT(N), Tapmi, and Lal Bahadur Shastri. Gd and PI for Fore went well. Have hopes from other institutes also. Guys plz help me by telling which one is a better institiute with respect to placements, faculty and corporate connectivity. i will be grateful. Thanks!!!!!!

and btw results for all these b-skools are still to be declared..so

well its too soon to analyze colleges b4 d final calls are out...
i will just tell you my case rest depends on you....i had calls from LBSIM,KJ Somaiya,Wellinger,Tapmi, AND IMT(N)....I chose FORE .....was in the same state of mind as you guys will be if you hv multiple calls.......now i realize i made the right choice...

this waiting is killing me. they said the results will be out by the third week. and the third week has come and gone with no sign of the results. seniors can u give us further info. what's happening? why is the result getting delayed?

next week...did not specify any date !
