i mean wt are the no. of students called for gd/pi round? and does fore prefers science background students? majority of the people were from science background on the D-day....further, does 3 months work experience count?

well they call in around 1200 ppl for gd/pi and finally take in 150...it does not prefer any background but we have the majority of engineers...we also hv ppl from almost all background so the batch is a very hetrogeneous mix...three months doen nt give you too much edge..almost none..but if its in a very good company or smthing then it mite prove a bit helpful..we hv ppl with 46 months wrk ex in the batch and we even have freshers(like me) also...so the selection process is for getting the right candidate not the rite background...

probably this is nt the rite place to discuss it but anyways...it never hurts to get multiple final calls..so go for the gd/pi and then decide later...what if today u find SCHMRD better and don't attend the gd and tomoro you come to know that FORE is better...i had five calls and then decided on FORE...

well, the panelists were saying that arnd 750 ppl were called for gd/pi.
they said that in gd round....saying that u shud nt fight amongst urself in gd as u were competing against 749 individuals.
i was surprised to hear 750 thing (read ur earlier entries). that's why i asked..
nonetheless, for other pagalguy members------- the gd topic was on tobacco-ethical v/s commercial.......

hi...well 2day had gd/pi of FORE...well case study was nice related 2 "use of public opinion by smsingin TV shows"..... but thn at pi thy hammered me on my acads....got 95%ile in CAT
1)like y so patheyic % in BE (54%)....&
2) V r convinced tht v dont have 2 take U...now convince us to take U
3)we will admit U as a faculty for socail work with a bond of 5yrs....will U join etc.....etc.....
ans most of d quest in a gud way not in most promising was.....well a gud exp...but a hard chance 2 b admitted......

c the number is not 750 its more....the panelist mite be talking about candidates coming for the gd/pi in delhi..they still hv to cover mumbai,bangalore,hyderabed and kolkota...

c it all depends on the type of replies you gave to the questions...the questions were nt too hard so i guess if u replied properly u stand a chance...as for the acads its just a way of putting stress on you and to check ur temperament...
well had my gd/pi today at fore and i dont know wat to say abt it feeling like making girl frnds after that ha ha they suggested me this:wow:
well the gd was a case let and my perofrmance was good...
but the disaster started in the interview where they just wanted to know abt my girelfrnd which i didnt have and made me convinced to go for modelling .............
they took me to las vegas for gambling and had one night stands there asked me if i believe in them .................. common man .............. ab to mujhe baksh do..........
and in less than five min said thank u .......................i felt like saying kuch to pooch lo atleast i studied my acads for five days ............................. no eco no why mba and all that stuff girl frnd hai to batao nahin to gpl.......................... ha ha dont know wat to say

I can understand dude wat must hav been ur condition coz I was grilled for nearly 10 min on BHOPAL........i was sitting there like a tourist guide answer those questions like how many lakes r thr?? how many man made and how many r natural? Bhopal gas tragedy?? Bhopal Express?? Shaane-e-bhopal?? which stations come in between bpl and delhi orderwise
?? things like that went on and on for 10 mins and then came BUDGET 07 
....God i was grilled like a sausage ready to put in a hot dog.....I had a cool GD with a case study "Discuss whether global indians can make india a global india or not" (something like tht)....threw in some gud points
All in all a nice experience.....wud lov to be an this collg........

yeah FORE does come out with a waiting list...go through the mandatory disclosure on the site for the exact weightages...guess its 40:60...

the fore process is already over at a few centers but i have not found many ppl sharing their gd-pi experiences on this thread...!

gd was case basd..it was rlatd to smthng like the indian diaspora has done gr88 in makin r country proud and the incrsd interaction btwn indian and NRI's wil make india a global india..
gd went quite well..there were 10 people in gd.evrybody got chance.

firstly u shud hv posted ur private message on the same thread...i read ur post as well as ur private message...
well two contradictory views..a very different version on the post which gives a view that the interview was crap..and the pm gives a view dat the interview was proper...
anywayz c u lack a bit on the percentile front to be very honest...becoz of the ppl i interacted on the college ur percentile seems to be on a lower (90.54%) side....but the questions asked were smart...u said gambling as a way to make quick money..i don't think it was a very smart answer...
regarding the other questions it all depends on the reply...u said ur performance ws good in the gd.....regarding the course content which they did not ask u....i converted all my calls without even once being asked about the studies or course content...so i guess u shud not wrry too much about that bcoz it shows smartness on ur part that u managed to manipulate them to stay away from the course contents(which mite hv proved to b more dangerous)...
at the end of the day i guess u stand a chance if u managed to reply to the other answers properly...bcoz nt asking about course..maintaining a cool climate during the interview either shows dat they hv definetly liked u or definetly rejected u.....
i believe dat u shud stay positive and hope to catch u on campus later..

well u said somewhat right that in the post it looked like more crapped , at putting it in post i was very ....... u know the type of feeling .... later on in PM got my cool gathered all the things and posted it ....................... ya i feel the same that gambling was not a good answer anyway but that corporate person asked in the fashion that it just came to my mind............ what to do else ..............jo bol diya voh bol diya later tried to just clean it up .........jitna bhi kar saka........................ hope fully thirivnig on the fact that they definitely liked me .................however no evidences behind that ..........result will only tell................ thanx once again for all ur help that u extended to all of us aspirants ......
