i want to know wat percentile it may account to nd if i can apply to fore school of management..

ritesh,i have a query
in the fsm application form,while stating our 10 and 12 marks,it was written "overall percentage of marks must include all subjects".....our board doesnt use all the subjects for final evaluation,but still to be on the safer side i had written the percentage taking all subjects and as a result my percentage has gone down w.r.to my original percentg.......have i done the right thing?
i fear if others dont do the same my percentage will look bad in comparison to others......will they look for acads mark while giving calls?i presume i ll get near 91(absolute scr) in CAT.if i do get a call do i have to state the marks again or will they revert back to the original appl. form??
If IMS score is ok, u may get a call. Rest depends on ur past acads, nd work exp.

c its all relative to d percentile u get on this score..i can't predict whether u will get a call on this score or not but i can give u a range of the percentile on which u can expect a call based on ur profile...it will b in the range of 88-90% as u have an year of wrk ex...so keep ur fingures crossed and best of luck:

C as far as ur dilema 4 doing MBA now or postpone for later stage i cant comment...bt i can surely clear ur doubts about FORE...as about TOP 10 we sure were there last year (BUSINESSWORLD...thats d only survey FORE participates in...and this year we are 12th)...ours is indeed one of the most prestigiuos institute in india and with a new campus coming up in gurgaon we are surely going to rock on the ranking charts....anywayz our last year avg. was 5.75 LPA.....PLACEMENTS MORE THAN 200%....at FORE we also hv a provision for lateral placements for guys with wrk ex of more than 2 yrs..we have ppl with 4 yrs of wrk ex in our batches:

u shud expect a call if ur scoring 100 bt most ppl are facing discripancies in thier scores bcoz of different answers in different solutions but anywayz good chances at 100 with d profile u have:

Hi seniors from FORE.. I'm Sailesh from Chennai. Getting 86 overall in CAT.. Having 1.5 years work exp in a car manufacturing company and what are my chances of getting a call?? Well, if u look at the percentile score, it comes around 85 as per IMS and around 94 as per TIME.. However, I can cross 80 percentile for sure I believe.. What r my chances??

What are my chances?? Will i be able to clear the sectional Cutoff thing in
QA?
Also is there any way we can come to know if our forms have reached or not? I printed the form and sent it thru courier.. Havent recieved any intimation from Fore so far

c candidates with work ex of atleast 2 yrs are eligible for laterals...they can also sit for companies which do not have a lateral entry system along with d freshers..but most of the companies do offer lateral entry if u hv a relevant wrk ex......packages vary along d sector u are interested in joining ...last years lowest 3.6......avg...5.75 ....highest 8.6...;-)

at this moment nothing can b predicted for sure....for the matter of applying to FORE i think u can take this risk as i dont think u give cat everyyear and 1250 bucks are nothing to wt ur earning capacity wud be if u make it to FORE...secondly about the second round...c FORE calls 1200 ppl for the second round all across the country....and finally takes in 150....remember all those ppl have cleared d cut offs but only 150 make it so don't plan for a good GD and PI prepare for an excellent one as u might b on a backfoot slightly bcoz of ur percentile...as we hv ppl with even 99% for the GD and PI.....so hope for the best and take d risk

c buddy its all relative to d percentile ...if u get 94% ur in...if u get 85% ur out.....so nothing can b predicted unless we hv an idea of the exact percentile...but i think u can hope for d best and expect for a good percentile at this score...jst crossing 80% won't do any good...:sleepy:
