i am also not very much sure...but some one was telling me that in waiting list... all r given call. the ones who do the firmalities first r given chance, not very sure... but my experience says it follows order..and yeah...i misused the term partially ..i apologise for the wrong wrd used

I think they must have everybody, who is WL, a rank. on 22nd depending on the no of vacancies they will update the website. if a person has got the call he can take the adm. and the process continues. there will not first come first serve. This is my opinion and not a confirmed one

to add further...every trimester u wld be given bunch of books for all subjects...wid extra case studies..and relevant material..so nthg to wry abt..and spend anything extra..moreover ..library has enuf books for u to study

Duz a course which is APPROVED only (n not accredited) make u eligible for higher studies ? This is relevant in the sense tht IB at FORE is not an accredited course ! Kindly shed light on this !! Thanx !

Joining a prog or not joining it is ultimately your prerogative....But all i can tell u is that there are lot of people in the present batch wid more than 2 yrs of work ex. Infact i myself is one.... So take your call..

@Tarun, Do FMCG companies or banks recruit guys who have work ex in IT sector. If a guy has an exp of 3+ years in IT sector ll he be allowed to sit for these sectors and ll his exp be counted.......

Joining or not joining is ultimately ur call.... It is subjective to an individual.... one's aspirations.... If u r kind of satisfied with job oppurtunities and placements provided by fore and u don't have any better options in hand then its a college worth joining... Fore is one of the top private b-school..... But it depends on ur aspirations..... If u feel u deserve something better then u can wait 4 better calls or give CAT again..... Its ultimately ur call nd ur wish...consult sm ppl before finally deciding...;);)

Well as for ur quest... I havent seen any companies having reservations in taking people with IT workex , be it FMCG or Banking. Also, there is absolutely no restrictions from the placement comittee of the college to not let u sit for any particular company. Though there are few auto ancilliaries which prefer engineers(mechanical) but they are just 1-2. Ultimately its on u, to get selected ( with or without work ex).

approved n accredited are 2 diff things all together.. Approval is mandatory for a course to be recognised.. It makes ur degree officially accepted.. While, Accredition is an optional quality rating.. U can say, similar to ISO ratings for industry.. AICTE gives accredition to colleges based on its courses, infra, faculty, hostel, etc. It is common for engg, mba n other colleges. It may not even be for all courses in a coll.. A coll may have its ECE n EEE dept accredited only, but not others.. Its basically an overall quality rating for colleges. Hope that gives a clear idea to people.

i'm not a senior, but feel that will not be a major issue. If that was the case wher wud freshers be? Companies ll primarily look at ur overall exp n position. Ofcourse, any comp comin for placement wud give higher preference for ppl wit relevant industry exp.. But dont think its unfairly high.. And freshers need not be worried wit any comments here.. Quality gets rewarded everywher. Lots of freshers beat work-ex ppl in placement values every yr. Companies do give preference to exp ppl, but again its not unfairly high..
I am not in the first merit or waiting list.. Cat-08 : 95.33 percentile Decent : gd/pi Above Average acads and 1 years of work ex... Are there any chance of next merit list... They have displayed on site that next status on admissions will be on 25th of April..:|
