Hello Guys,

I had my GMAT last week. I had a score of 630 (Q-49, V-25). If I try to apply for colleges abroad, what are my options? I would prefer to have a scholarship. What are the colleges do I have a chance in India?

Work Experience: 5 yrs in European MNC, Job related to Industrial Automation engineering, which also includes travelling to sites all over India.

BE in Electrical Engineering from an university which is one of the top 15 technical universities in India.

Class 12- 80% ISC

Class 10- 88% ICSE

Interested in mountaineering, trekking. Active member of a mountaineering club.

Hi need some advice. Pls guide and advice. I am currently working in Snapdeal in supply chain. I have done Bcom pass from DU and GNIIT. My scores in class tenth and twelfth standard were not very great. Now am serious and want to prepare for MBA , please tell me if my scores in gmat are  good ex 650 plus types, will I stand chance for sp jain Mumbai or any other good institute. Please suggest which institutes in or outside India can consider me basis my scores only.

I am planning to do MBA next year. So, I would like to ask how to proceed/plan my prep.

Below is my profile:

Class Xth - 80%

Class XIIth - 83%

B.Tech : 8.3 CGPA (out of 10) in Computer Science & Engineering

IT job experience of 18 months.

What are the possibilities of getting into ISB, XLRI, etc? What should be the good score for this?

What are the others qualitites needed to get an edge?

I have scheduled GMAT for the coming saturday. I will be taking the GMAT for the first time. I am confused about the college selection. I know we can select 5, but i am not able to select all 5. I have selected 3 IIMI, XL, ISB (all these three colleges application process is still open))My question is

1.can we select the college (IIMC or IIMB ,whose deadline is over now) .

2.How above two colleges would treat my GMAT score now. Will they consider the score for the next season. and when i apply the next season. I dont have to request gmac to send score to these colleges and thereby saving 3k money.

3.Is there any other Indian college which has Executive program and open application process.

Do we have a option to select ISB during GMAT Exam ?? Also , for a 2 year work ex guys, which 5 B schools should be selected during the exam ??

Hey guys,

I have one doubt. I have scheduled my GRE date on 24th dec and TOEFL on 9th. All the paperwork is going smooth. But I have one problem. My university will not be issuing transcripts till late Jan/ early feb due to ongoing semester. Are transcripts a must for applying to the US universities or is it okay if I get my marksheets attested by the University Registrar and send them over, and once I get the transcripts I send them across as well? Or is it that I cannot continue with the application process until I get the transcripts?

Any help appreciated.

I am not targeting any colleges that have avg gmat score above my gmat score as i am looking for a good amount of scholarship.

Hi,

I am a civil engineering graduate from BITS Pilani, Pilani campus (2010). For the past 5 years, I have been working with GAIL (India) Ltd. as Construction Engineer. My GMAT is 730 (Q-50, V-39, IR-7, AWA-4). My undergrad CGPA is 8.23/10. I wanted to ask if I should apply to schools like Kellogg, Haas (Berkeley), Columbia etc. My goal is to progress as a real estate consultant. I was involved in the construction of a 21 storey high rise building from the nascent stage.

Further, I am been scoring an average of 650 in the MGMAT (Manhattan) mocks, what score can i expect in the original GMAT?

Hi fellas,

I have received an admit from Babson and George Washington. I am expecting admit from Fox school of business. Which one out of the three I shall choose and why? Shall I apply to any other school? I am planning to apply to UConn, Rutgers, Purdue, Northeastern. How are these four in comparison to the above three.

My academic credential are

10th - 93% (school topper 2006)

12th- 88.80% (school topper science stream)

School topper from 4th- 12th standard

B.tech (power engineering)- 78% (IP university)

Toefl score- 98 (iBT)

Currently working in an American Engineering, procurement and Construction MNC for 3.5 years. I have awarded with special performance bonus and letter of appreciation for past three years.

Work profile

working as an electrical engineering, working on the various systems and module in a team of 10-15 engineers and designers. Its mainly a technical job with projects in USA.

Extra ciricular activities

I didn't participated much in school and college.

I have leading the team building and fun management team in my projects since I joined the organization. It organizes various team building activities like games, get together,  excursions etc.

I am also part of the food committee which monitors the food quality. The responsibility includes getting the feedback, analysis, highlighting the issues, suggest solution and discuss, communicating the feedback and suggestion to vendors.

 I am planning to apply for Energy management at Technical University Berlin for MBA in Energy Management. 

As plan B, I am thinking of taking GMAT in 2016 and apply for MBA in Indian B-schools. I have not finalized any course (investor banking is ruled out) for MBA in India and also some USA/Canada/Europe.

These are my questions are as follows

1.What are my chances for MBA Energy management?

2. What score should i target for my MBA in Indian B-school assuming a score of 680 and what best courses and college that I can target?

3.Based on my profile and assuming around 680 in GMAT, which colleges , I can target in USA/Canada/Europe with scholarship?

I have 5 publications to my name. How do I include research publications in my one page CV when applying to MBA programs in US as the title along with other citation details takes up a lot of space?

QA=36, %=36 ( 1 not attempted)

VA=25, % =38

Didnt write the essay

Was weak in probability,DS, sentence correction

please guide how to proceed further, books, test series, etc,

Hello,

I am a Civil Engineering graduate from the Batch of 2015. I am currently working as a Procurement Executive in a Govt. Joint Venture. Company. My job profile includes complete bid process management/contract management from the client's side, right from drafting the bid documents to awarding of the tender. I have been involved in procurement of contracts worth more than INR 1000 Crores.

I wish to go forward with this field however I am unsure whether an MBA abroad will do me any good in this. If it is beneficial, in which majors should I peruse my MBA in and what is the ideal time?

Advice/Experiences will be highly appreciated
