Do you really think the SIBM cut-off would be as high as 90 %ile. People who have tried their luck at predicting cut-offs drop in please...!

i am asking a question... they took only those ppl's forms with scores > 90 percentile.... logical i suppose that the cutoff shud be 90.. otherwise, why shud they stop themselves from accepting forms (and Rs. 1200) ?????

is this a rumor or r u sure abt it hrh?? cant believe sibm would be so goody goody and miss out on a chance of earning 1200 bucks. but if its true then ya this settles it, cutoff cant be lower than 90.

not a rumor.... i went to SIBM office on 5 feb to submit the form of a friend from delhi who cudnt apply online coz the email app system wasnt working... some prob with sibm mail server... it is first hand info... i think i have posted abt that on this thread sometime back....

ITM ... Khargar, Navi mumbai.. if thats the one we r talking abt... it is as good (or bad) as LIBA... so cutoffs wud be nominal i suppose... refer to previous threads.. me thinks nithin has made a succinct comment...

just read the rejection letter(very dramatized one) letter from SIBM...don't want to miss out on an admission this time around...got 93.36 %ile in XAT...should I apply to LIBA? applications to BIM, GIM already dispatched...but is LIBA worth considering...their site provides a good pic and may be i can check the campus out personally too(which i will soon)...but just wanted to know whether the members here consider it as good as GIM/BIM or even just below it? or shall i put it this way - is there any college in XAT better than LIBA and still with registration still open?

By the looks of things LIBA might ask for 90 and above as SIBM HAS asked for 96 percentile and above. It is going to be comical as most of the people who did well in XAT have done equally well in CAT. So most of these guys might not even turn up for GD/PI at SIBM , LIBA and GIM:grab:

i am afraid regarding cut offs of bim and gim !

me now with a measly % of 86.33 donno what the hell is wrong with this world!

if bim and gim closes at 90 then the season of mba exams are over for me!:x

in some parts of the world 90 % would have been good ! but no not in india!

this points should have been added by me in the xat essay! population problem u see :huh:

imho,
LIBA is not as good as BIM or GIM... we have BIM.. GIM (they can be interchanged) then XISS XIME then ITM and LIBA... again, it's only my opinion...
apart from the rankings, which may vary from person to person, I suppose one should look at all the other options b4 jumping to a really not so good institute.. even for backup purposes...

as far as i knw XIME takes CAT scores too...so if u think ur CAT scores r better than XAT u can apply wid it to XIME....

thnx devasmita... my xat overall is 98.82 and cat overall is 99.34.. guess i am considering xime a backup.. but what the hell... i will still stick to xat

that is, assuming these guys dont have sectional cutoffs... if they HAVE sectional cutoffs, i am better off with XAT

something to cheer about.i got a call from SIBM (COMMUNICATION ) with my 76.67%le in XAT :huh: (OPEN CATAGORY)

so the cut offs for SIBM(mktg and fin) would be around 87%le.

so dont worry guys most of you still do have a chance.

GIM will probably close at 85%le

hey wid a %tile of 98.82 n 99.34 ur definitely gonna get thru...but if u get better options plz dont take up XIME...

This is interesting. This is what I was saying all along. This time XAT was more like CAT. By that I mean quant intensive. All the dudes who did well in CAT did well in XAT too. The usual VA and GA intensive XAT prevented this scenario from occuring. So this time around once the final list off IIMs, SPJAIN, MDI, NITIE are released all the xat dependent schools esp SIBM are in for a big shock.
