congrats on makin it..welcome to BIM..It would be nice if u guys name ur yahoo groups as BIM23 cos thats the trend..its always named as BIM20,BIM21,BIM22...Regarding a computer,believe me u will feel majorly handicapped without one....my batch(btw i am from the passing out batch this yr) most of them had PC's,but 99% of our junior batch have got Laptops..its ur choice but do get a comp..hmm u will get a cupboard,bed,table and chair..rest u will have to bring..i guess tat answers ur queries..btw soumicruise is a 'she'...

...well then it settles the laptop thingy...can ya suggest a laptop? i mean the one most of 'em use...too bad...if we need a notebook then BIM should be arranging for us to get one...wonder why they dont do that...and why didnt BIM send any of the details along with the call letter?

wats this thing with bim bangalore goin on........a sudden claim by a senior alumni of bim trichy on the veracity of the institute. ......will it anyways affect bim trichy and its credibility.........seniors plz help
yup..u do have 24 hrs internet in ur hostel rooms...and abt the PC..u dont necessary have to buy one and come..it would be preferable..but on ur opening day u will have stalls around for loans and comps..u can buy one that time..or there r numerous computer dealers nearby who will get u a comp..shouldnt be aproblem at all..

nothingh to worry abt..BIM-Trichy will in no way be affected by nethingh happening in Bangalore...not in a position to comment on the allegation and stuff cos frankly i dunno..rest assured BIM-Trichy will not be affected.
thanks ashwin,the admission order says classes start on july 3rd.......will we be alloted hostel rooms on the first dayor we might need to stay in a hotel for some time?

u can come a day or two earlier to the hostel and occupy ur alloted room..there is no need to stay in a hotel..actually its advisable to coem alil earlier cos u will get ur choice of room/cupboard in the house..and azazelin(is that ur real name)..first few weeks will be so packed with classes and assignments that u will be gasping for time..actually u will loose track of time and days..cos u will have classes the whole day..7 days a week..but will have lotsa fun at the same time(wont spoil ur fun right now ;))..

dont worry about classes!! its all fun and u will get used to the schedule once u come here... i think u shud come and experience it rather than we telling us how its going to be.. as ash said wont spoil the fun... i can assure u that there is a lot in store..
meanwhile if u have a two wheeler with u, can bring it down here... because the college is 5 kms inside, from the main road...
we will be coming back on 5th to the college...
PC is a must and LAPPY is comfortable
! so u can decide according to ur budget constraints... i own a laptop and i would suggest the same.
well me heard from a senior that bim is not yet out with its second list........this is very imp cause a lot of dudes are leaving bim for other better colleges.......so maybe we peeps still have a chance

most companies give a very good rate for b-schools
so afetr u join bim, or some time in future while u will be at the college u can enquire ba the laptop, and get a good deal

well there a huge number of HR electives on offer in the second yr covering all aspects of HR,PERSONNEL Mgmt & Industrial Relations..the subjects include training&devpt;,recruitment&selection;,industrial relations,organizational development etc etc..
Abt placements HR students usually get placed in IT companies and manufacturing companies..The companies can be as diverse as Infosys and TVS-Motors which recruit for HR and the profile can vary from being a business analyst in the HR domain to core HR in a company...

am thro BIM... btw waiting list have been put up... my frnd ranks 1st in waiting list... he got a letter frm BIM asking him to pay 5000...
